This just popped up on YT. I do seem to remember a similar ish situation arose here some years back.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Wow - the lawyer was very direct. But seems on point - second marriage happened while still married to the first wife (divorce didn't happen until 2020s?). Ex-wife staying in his place when she comes to visit (adult) children. 

I wouldn't be surprised if they connect the dots and pull his green card, second wife's asylum claim and deport them to Syria.

He said they couldn’t go back to Syria and the reason for the asylum and yet the 1st wife after getting her green card visits Syria for 6 months and comes to the US for 1 month. Make this make sense.

That caught my ears, too.  They are on their way to some unwanted attention.

Most asylum cases like this are for people who have no other option to immigrate.
