ok so I have a special case. my fiance and I are from two different religious backgrounds. I can't marry her unless I legally change my religion. I don't want to change because it will affect many people around me ( strange but its a fact even though it is only paper). NVC just created and transferred my K-1 case to the embassy. my fiance is from Syria and Syria was just added to the list of full travel ban.
I am wondering what is the extent of the ban on K-1 Visas?
if K-1 is not an option anymore and I can't marry her anywhere that allows Syrians in and allow civil marriages what options do I have?
any one have any thoughts on "Utah Online marriages"? are they recognized buy USCIS?
any help is much appreciated.

Typically, yes.

Spouses though (CR-1 / IR-1) are typically not affected.

However, even with spousal visa, beneficiary may be put in super long / indefinite admin processing. But at least it's not a black & white outright ban.

You would have to visit in person after marrying before eligible to file a petition.
