My husband and I have been together seven years, I came over on a K1 visa end of 2022, married beginning of 2023, I was approved for my green card august 2023. We are now preparing to file for ROC. I will list below the evidence we will be submitting, but I’m very nervous. We don’t have hundreds of pages of evidence, and it’s just so nerve wracking to think of the possibility of a denial. We have a child together and the thought of our family being separated is so painful.
 ROC evidence, strongest to weakest-

— 2023 and 2024 joint tax returns

- joint debit and credit card statements (It’s only been joint as of January this year as I’m a stay at home mom and we just didn’t find it necessary at the time, so we will only have a few statements which worries me)

- Copies of our credit and debit cards

- Internet bill in both our names (utilities are included in our rent)

- Rental lease agreement for our apartment

- joint cattle brand with both our and our daughter’s names (my husband co-owns a ranch with his mother)

- joint wills listing each other as beneficiaries

- Several car titles in both our names

- joint car insurance

- mail addressed to us both/individual mail addressed to same address

- One affidavit from my husband’s boss who is also our landlord acknowledging our relationship and co-residence

- lots of pictures of us with family, with our daughter and travelling

- boarding passes from two trips we have taken together to my home country

- air b&b receipts from our trips

- letters and mail addressed to us both from family

- vet receipts for our cats

- joint Spotify bills

- text messages to one another

I’m hoping this is enough but I see people with so much more. We don’t own a house together, we don’t have bank statements covering our entire marriage and we don’t have joint health insurance as my husband is native and receives health care through the IHS. Maybe I’m being irrational but it’s just a really nerve wracking process for me.

You probably felt the same way during your K1.

And again during your AOS.

I think that in the eyes of USCIS, your relationship has been bona fide from the start, otherwise you wouldn't be at this point now.

I don't think you have anything to worry about and I only hope to be equipped with so much when I am in your position. 🙂

It's sounds like significantly more than what we submitted and we were approved quickly.  I don't think you have any worries.

More than me

You have more than enough evidence, and it might even be too much if it is not organized well. Focus on quality evidence. I was approved without issues with much less evidence than what you listed.

Do you mean photocopies of the actual cards? Don't do that! Just the statements are enough; these will show both of your names. No one needs to have the full card information unless you want to pay them.

If you want to include pictures (not necessary, but you can), just pick a few that cover the span of your marriage.

With all the other evidence you have, I really don't think text messages are necessary.

Powers of Attorney are good, too.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
