There is no such visa.

A visa is for entering the US.

Wow that's odd because another person posted that the kid is already in the US and they are trying for this visa.  Plus the USCIS website says;

 If you are in the United States and need the protection of a juvenile court because you have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by a parent, you may be eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) classification. If SIJ classification is granted, you may qualify for lawful permanent residency (also known as getting a Green Card).

Who's the juvenile? What would be the purpose of the visa?

You can search here and direct your questions to a local non-profit, if you feel is necessary.

Yes, we are asking if anyone knows a lawyer or non profit that is versed in this kind of situation.  Do you know of any?

As I said SIJ is for someone in the US, there is no SIJ Visa.

Semantics, but what Boiler is saying is that it is not a visa.

Inside the United States.

Then seek advise from one of the organisations mentioned above.

Maybe I need to update my request.  The child is in the US and has started the process.  He has been working on this case for a few years and has been to court several times and had some papers processed in our state already.  Now he is looking for a lawyer to help.  I'm not sure what part of the process he is in, but apparently he wants a lawyer.

Does anyone know of a good lawyer for these kinds of cases?

Of course we will follow up with the non-profits but he is looking for a lawyer.

It's difficult to answer your questions when you're not giving us any real details.

How did he get to the U.S.? (a visa, did he enter illegally)
Where are his parents?
How old is he?

I suggest you have him set up an account here so we can understand what he's actually looking for.
