I-485 No visa number available [multiple merged threads]

My I-785 is approved but when I checked my status on I-485 they say “We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application”. Can anyone knows what this status means and how much time it can approximately takes.

What form is that. Do you mean I-765?

Impossible to tell with the limited information you provided. Please provide information on what basis you’re adjusting.

Yes Sorry typo error it’s I-765.
I am currently on E-2 visa and my status change is filled under EB3. My country of birth is Pakistan.

What is the case Priority Date (PD) of the I-140 petition filed for you?

That status means your PD is not current on Table A of the visa bulletin, so you cannot be granted a green card yet.  You will have to wait until your PD becomes current.  No one can predict with certainty when the visa bulletin will move.

1. The date I-140 was filed. The I-140 receipt has this. If you do not have the receipt (if this was filed by an employer, it is not unusual for an employer to withhold this) hopefully you know the case number. From the case number you should be able to get the date of filing.

I have applied under EB3. The only thing left for me was an I-485 approval. My priority date is June 15, 2022, and currently, Visa Bullet has a final action date of September 01, 2022. I think for the last eight months my online status shows your case remains pending and “We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigration visa number is not immediately available to you…..”. I need to know if is it a normal time they are taking or am I facing something different from the rest.

Clearly there is no visa number available for you, based on that Visa Bulletin.  Do you have a specific question?

I applied under EB3. But since very long my status says “We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigration visa number is not immediately available to you….”. My question is why this status is not changing, my priority date since last four months is within the final action date as per visa bulletin. Is this normal time or is it rare.
