US consulate General in Dubai, Administrative process for more than 180 days

Hi guys, Adminstrative process going on for more than 180 days. Case last updated twice as recent as 28th feb 2024. I have not got any e-mail asking for anything in either of them. Submitted additonal documents more than a month back which they acknowledged. Any help would be appreciated. The case is going on in Us consulate in Dubai

no, country of birth is india but filed for L-1 from the dubai company of which i am part of for 2 years

This is the reason for long AP

India is poor at record keeping and the Dubai embassy is doing the extra security checks to verify all documents and get the criminal report

AP is never fast for India

India very much comes in to the picture if it's the country of birth. Background checks will be done for every country the applicant has lived in.

 

AP can take weeks, months or years, nothing to do but wait it out I'm afraid.

It means someone is looking at your file.  Could be because it needs further processing, could be because end is near, no one can guess.  

 

Also, please do not type in all caps, no need to shout at people volunteering to help.

Hey sorry my caps were on so didn't realize that it hurts! but yeah I hope it is moving ahead and it gets sorted! it's been more than 180 days now!

I know it feels like it's just the world against you but so many people are in the exact same boat right now. It's also not just India, many specific nationalities get hit with lengthier AP especially if they have specific professional backgrounds. 

 

Just keep waiting and hopefully they'll reach a decision soon.
