Biometrics went well yesterday. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Friendliest and most efficient government office I have ever been in . I guess now we just wait for some sort of letter in the mail?

Also, when I check my case status on the USCIS site, it shows the biometrics step as "complete" for the I-485 and the EAD, but not the AP. Does it just take time to update in the system?

Yay, another step done!

I‘m not sure the case status for AP ever changes (until approved/denied). My biometrics appointment was over a month ago and it still doesn’t show as completed for AP.

I-131 Advanced Parole does not require biometrics - it is solely an approval or denial. Although the system indicates it is required, that is not the case and will continue to show that until the AP is approved, or your GC is approved.

Thanks for clarifying!

Hi. I sent my spouse and daughter AOS feb 23 at dallas lockbox. Delivered at P.O box on Feb 25z And up until now i still didn’t get any electronic notification. What should i do now?

It sometimes takes slightly in excess of a month to receive notification of receipt and subsequent Notice of Action I-797s. I wouldn’t be too alarmed at this juncture - however you can follow up using the Emma Chat or by calling after 30 days from February 25.

Thank you. I’m stressed out. I was thinking maybe they reject my application or something but I hope not. I’ll just wait for a little bit longer.

  • 2 weeks later...

Our applications were received in early February 2024. We've completed biometrics for AOS and EAD shortly after.

Since then, it's been radio silence for over a month now with no update. MyUSCIS site says EAD case decision is taking longer than usual. Just checking in to see if anyone who filed in February has at least received their EAD or AP yet.

We're in Houston, TX by the way

Still waiting here as well. Case status changed today from “longer than usual” to “2 weeks until status change”.

Keep in mind that the status info doesn’t mean anything, so take it with a grain of salt.

Jumping in to add some of our details -- our PD is Feb. 5, biometrics March 7, standalone approval in the USCIS account March 9, received SS card in the mail the following week, and the actual EAD card in the mail March 30.

Everything else (485, 130, 131) is in a holding pattern.

We received an RFE immediately after filing (2/13) for medical and clarification on some of my (USC) tax / income info. We sent that in March 12. (FWIW: I saw somewhere else in these forums that someone said if you get an RFE, then all of your applications [ie 765, 485, 130, 131] are put on hold until you respond, but not true; my husband's EAD & SS card were approved before we responded to the RFE.)

I'll just jump on the bandwagon and say yup, nothing new since attending the biometric appointment. Just waiting for letters I guess.

January filer here. Nothing since biometrics.
