Points of entry coming from PI

Are there certain POEs to avoid when coming from the Philippines. I was thinking maybe NYC and LAX should be avoided.  Any experience out there?

I have been through both.  Other than sometimes being a bit busy, they are fine.

I don’t like LAX-the non-citizens line is very slow.

Brought wife through DFW no issues. 

FIL came through JFK no issues 

Flew with my MIL through LAX last April, line was 15 minutes, secondary was 30 min. Could have been shorter but family before us was hiding money on themselves and kids, ended up not declaring $44k in cash. Was entertaining to watch.

Just come to whatever POE works out best for the flights.  They are all going to admit you.  Leave plenty of extra time if there are any domestic connecting flights. My wife and stepdaughter came through LAX and they were quite friendly.

My fiancé plans on traveling through Tokyo before landing at LAX.

 

Does anyone have any experience of traveling through Tokyo for a connecting flight to the USA?

As long as you don't have an airport change.  A lot of itineraries have a Narita/Haneda change which you want to avoid.

She just re-clears security and finds the next gate.  NRT is super easy.
