Hey guys,
I am a permanent resident, its been almost 5 years since my removal conditions.

I have just recently moved to a new house, and I'm wondering if it is required for a 10 year greencard holder to update USCIS my home address.

I have attempted to login USCIS online but failed because I have totally forgot my password since it has been years.

They locked my account after attempted too many times.

I tried to unlock it with the online form application, but it requires me to fill up a receipt number which I do not have it because I don't have any pending application.

The call center is automated, and it is leading me to the same unlock website process as I did.

Does anyone know if this is required to inform them?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are required to notify USCIS of address changes within 10 days of moving.  An AR-11 can be filed online or by mailing.

Thank you my love, I'll mail them I guess.

Its so frustrating to forget password and getting locked by USCIS. I feel so helpless.

Does my husband (USC) require to inform them that he changed his address? He's no longer my sponsor since its been 8 years after the entire process.

Unless you already have 40 quarters of qualifying work credits in the US, your petitioner is still your sponsor and is still required to inform USCIS (via mailed I-865) of their change of address.

I filed multiple AR-11s online for my wife last year, and no online account needed.

There are two ways you can change your address with USCIS:

  • Through your USCIS online account if you filed your form online (or you filed a paper form that has a receipt number that begins with IOE); or
  • By submitting Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card, online

Thanks, just a side track, out of topic, are u also working in Canada or living in Canada? I see that you have 3 flags on your profile picture. I'm considering working fully remote here, and visit Canada for few months.

We filed multiple AR-11s and I-865s in 2022 because we sold our US home and were living in hotels, airbnbs, and friends’ homes in the US while house hunting.

My wife did not have an online account, and we were still able to file AR-11 online.

I have no desire to live in Canada again. If you do, be sure to file I-131 and wait for the receipt before departing for Canada.

Thanks! I can't file it online :( Its frustrating. I'm gonna mail it out.

I kinda like Canada, I'm looking for a fully remote here, and try it out for 2 - 3 months to see if I like it. Do I have to file for I131 even though I'm just on vacation considering I'll be working under US firm.
