Hello everyone, I sent my I-130 online application for my mother since September 2023, I still have no response from immigration, now it says that my case is taking longer than normal, what should I do about it? I feel despair, will this really take longer? It is incredible and exhausting for my family🥺😔

I guess you mean September 2022?

If that is the case, you've waited just 6 months.

Depending on the service center, the minimum is 10.5

yes, it's true September 2022 ... so I have to wait 10 months, wow 😱 i thought it would be fast

Absolutely nothing in immigration is fast.  You need to forget that word.  Expect several months of waiting just for the USCIS process.

Probably way more. Depends on your service center.

At the moment I don't have an assigned office, I just sent the I 130 and I only received the letter saying that I had made the payment, nothing more.... the process has not yet passed to NVC, is that normal?

You may need to research current processing times.  Not sure where you've gotten your info from, but your expectations are not realistic, sorry.

About 12-15 months to get the I-130 approved.

Then about 3 months to get DQ'd at NVC after submitting documents.

Then 1-3 months to get the interview scheduled, longer if your embassy has backlogs.

For what it's worth, we filed for my mother-in-law in October of 2021 and the form was approved in November of 2022.  We had no RFEs.

We just finished filing the DS-260 last week.  We're waiting on NVC to approve and forward it to the embassy.

Be patient.  We'll all get through this.

Regards,
Vicky's Mom
