Hi can anyone assist me. I applied for my 1:751 May 2021. I received an interview in October in I called to reschedule have service number. On 1 November I received a letter declining my application reason I didn't appear at the interview and didn't request to reschedule my interview. I called to request an appointment so they could listen to the call or look at the notes . I received an email 2 days ago informing my reason for an appointment is not valid . Now i am stuck I have a ticket in 3 week to go visit my elderly mother in uk . Can anyone advice me.

I would immediately call USCIS and get a Tier 2 officer.  I would beg for a new interview.  Have a copy of the service request ready.  Otherwise, you have the option to re-apply or get an attorney involved.  Good luck.  @mindthegap

You need to call and get an infopass to try to get them to correct it with a service motion as it is their error, and sadly a not uncommon one.

You could try mailing in your request for a service motion due to their error, but good luck with that - I sent by fedex with signature required a detailed service motion request on two occasions pointing out serious errors and both were flatly ignored. Disgraceful. 

 

The tricky part will be getting an infopass on short notice. Again, a total mess. You may need to economical with the truth to get a short notice appointment here. 

 

 

Failing a service motion and getting them to correct the error, you would need to file a new I-751(and pay again, yes)

In that circumstance, the sooner you do so, the better it is for you.

I called one person told me nothing doing . I called again to request tier 2 they told me it could take up to 30 days . This is blatant negligent.

But no sure who there is to told to.

This qualifies as an emergency, in my book.  Getting them to agree might be difficult.

Here's the link for Jersey - go to the rep's website, and often they'll have either a general "contact us" email or an email specifically for immigration.

When you called to rescheduled did they guaranteed the new interview?

Wow I am so sorry this happened to you. I don't understand why there isn't a streamlined process to reschedule interviews. Stuff happens and there are dozens of legitimate reasons to need to reschedule, even at the last minute.

This is why you should have mailed the request to reschedule. 

 

When you called to reschedule, you spoke with Tier 1. Their history is well known here on VJ.

My opinion may be unpopular, but this is the reason I would always file any forms on paper, including AR-11 for address change etc. 

 

Paper evidence is still the king in 2023 unfortunately.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The meantime I went to my congressman's office and filled in a request for assistance from him. I'll have to wait and see how long it takes for a response.

I hear but either way they could have said the same thing. And I would be in the same position having to prove I requested to reschedule.
