N-400 January 2023 Filers

I can only get transcripts for the last 3 returns (not counting 2022 which I haven't submitted yet), is this similar to others here?

As I only moved to the US in 2020. I only had 2020 and 2021 transcript available when I applied mine N400 on jan 23rd this year. I filed my return for 2022 in feb and 2 weeks later, my transcript became available in my IRS account and I uploaded that transcript to my N400 file.

Status on my wife's N-400 changed to "Interview Was Scheduled" on March 7th, 2023, we are awaiting the hard copy in the mail to tell us the date and time of the interview. No word on the I-751 still showing that the fingerprints were applied to the case. Hopefully this will be or turn into a combo interview. We will plan as such and take all documents for both forms. I of course will accompany my wife to the N-400 Interview in the hopes that it'll be a combo!

Hopefully, you will get the email telling you it is a combo interview!!!!    There really is light at the end of the tunnel....and it's not a train.  It's a beautiful land where USCIS is gone from your life!!!!

It just dawned on me that I could look in the documents section in the online account and get the NOA of the interview date DUH. Interview date is April 11, 2023

If the interview was scheduled you should be able to see the letter on the documents tab.

Did they send you an email informing you of your combo?

Yes.  It was several days before the interview date.   It explained it was mandatory for me to be there, etc...and it used the words combination interview.

OK cool we'll keep an eye out for it if it should arrive. Now I am scrambling to get everything in order for both the ROC and the 400. I've got mountains of papers in two separate boxes I have to organize and then go on my pc to get others to put stuff together to take to the interview. I kept records but they were not kept in order. I got kinda lazy at the stretch line and just threw stuff in the appropriate box. I do not recommend that!

The email came 2 days prior to the interview:

"USCIS Applicant,

 

This email is in reference to your upcoming interview at the Dallas Field Office, it is for an I751(Petition to Remove Conditions) and N400 (Application for Naturalization) combination. It is imperative that your spouse accompany you to this interview, also that you bring proof of a marital union. Please refer to https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 for examples.

 

We look forward to meeting each you both at your interview in the near future."

Man this sucks, I have my interview tomorrow and never gotten any indication for a combo interview. Still going to bring the wife with me but dang.

Yeah do that I've seen folks on here do the same thing and once the IO found out the spouse was there it turned into a combo interview. So maybe whoever the interviewee is might be a good idea to lightly drop the hint that the spouse is outside.

Oh definitely.  Not even a hint, it will be a direct question/mention that my wife is with me and I have an i751.

Though I wldo like to think they can actually see these th9ngs in their system

They ask not because they don't know. They ask because they're testing your good moral character. If you lie, that's a big problem.
