Many people struggle to even fill out the immigration forms properly or follow other immigration procedures correctly so while some people can certainly file a writ themselves without a lawyer, I do not think it is advisable to state that anyone can file a writ of mandamus without the assistance of counsel.

never said its easy. just said it can be done. there are people waiting for 2-3 years to get adjudications. there is a way out of the frustration.

anyone waiting for more than 90 days for ROC approval should file a mandamus in court. it only cost 400$ but you will get adjudication of case within 4 months once the case is filed in court.. 2 years is a very long time from what congress wrote in immigration bill

More power to you if you do. I will keep waiting, as my case is still within USCIS processing time and I could use the $400 for my son’s needs.

That is awesome. I think the only reserve I have about this issue is having my name on a public record :)

you can file as John Doe or Karen if you choose to want to stay anonymous.

But the mandamus can also do the quite opposite, no? USCIS can also deny a case even a mandamus is filed.

If your case is going to be denied it will get denied . Mandamus gets a quick decision . It does not guarantee approval

@igoyougoduke How do you decide which federal court to file the mandamus writ against USCIS?
