Is it they random for service center?

I wish I had the answer to that question. I don't know. Part of me thinks it's random, but I do know that cases that are routed to LIN are likely to get an interview waiver based on this https://www.dhs.gov/publication/uscis-processing-concurrently-pending-forms-n-400-and-forms-i-751

I am really curious as to what they are going to do with my case. We did not have an interview for AOS (we got a phone call cancelling it the day before our interview, which would have been March 18th 2020). Then, the field office sent us an RFE to submit the evidence we were going to show by mail. We followed suit, and two weeks later we were approved. So technically we didn't have an in person interview, but we did mail the evidence we were going to show. I do not know whether they are going to consider that and waive our interview for the 751, or not. Either way we don't really care, we are still happily married. It's just my curiosity.

Hello All,

I’m stressing out and maybe it’s just paranoia? But my wife and I are September filers. Our windows opened on the 29th of august but we didn’t actually file till the 19th. We were waiting for other supporting documents so we didn’t file for a couple weeks. Issue is; we had filled the I-751 form beforehand and signed and dated it a week before our window opened. On the “date of signature” we put the date we signed the form (22nd august). Now I’m slightly worried if we’d get denied for “early filing” even if we technically just filled this week.

package sent: 17sept2022

delivered: 19sept2022

no text confirmation yet. Any inputs will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! I’m kind of in the same situation (?) My 90 days started 09/15/22 and our forms were signed and dated before that 90 days window. I’ve read somewhere else that USCIS looks at the date they received your paperworks, but I’m no immigration expert lol. So I guess the best thing to do now is just wait and see what happens. Here’s my timeline so far:

  • 09/14/22: Sent documents via Fedex
  • 09/19/22: Documents received at USCIS Phoenix, AZ
  • 09/22/22: Text notification - Case was received.

Hi. Thank you for the response! I guess ultimately I’m really unsure of when USCIS considers a packet to be filed. Does the date the packet is received count as when it was “filed” or when you filled and signed the form. Although I don’t think it’s the latter. My packet got delivered this week and I haven’t gotten a text confirmation so I’m thinking of everything and anything that could’ve been wrong.

Maybe it would count as “filed” on the date they received the packet, not when it was signed or dated. (Again, I could be wrong lol) We’re probably just being super paranoid, and overthinking things. I received my text notification (with receipt number & informing me that the official receipt notice to follow in mail) just yesterday, you’ll most likely get yours soon too! :) We’re expecting them to cash out our check sometime next week. Sending good vibes your way!

Thanks man! Yeah I would assume that would be what would count as “filed” and not when it was signed. I know I’m just super anxious because I haven’t gotten a text yet but It got delivered Monday so hopefully I get one in the coming days.
