My I-765 was approved on 10/13. However, I have not received our EAD card yet in the mail. Did anyone experience the same issue? Pls advice.

I will also only submit strictly the evidence asked for, in addition to updated I-864s. No birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc. My guess what happened with mine, is that the computer saw an income of $0 and immediately issued the RFE. There's no way our petitions could've been adjudicated by a live person within three weeks of submittal, so it was probably something mechanical that triggered it. No matter, we'll just take our time and get it done. :)

Edit: In the words of Bob Ross, it is "but a happy little accident" :D

Was your Current Annual Income $0  or  your taxes from the last year? I'm really sorry for this question. I'm just super worried about our case that we're about to submit. It has some gaps in previous tax returns, but now the income is fine and we can prove it... And we don't really have a co-sponsor to help us out

It was for current annual income; I don't think the previous returns matter much for your eligibility so long as you have everything sufficient at present. It sounds like you have enough to prove your current income - I wouldn't worry about it.

And in any event, users here have had success with just resubmitting their exact forms sent the first time upon getting an RFE. To be safe, I added a co-sponsor, but reading many threads on VJ suggests that sometimes the RFE is triggered in error / due to something the computer picks up on your form.

Random question, but does anyone know how switching addresses / switching back affects processing times? I will be moving for work out in Texas this summer, with my wife and pup obviously moving with, so we'd have to update the address with USCIS. But after a couple months, we'll be back in DC, where we are now. Granted, the times between Texas and DC are pretty similar, but what happens to our position in the 'queue'? Does the application transfer, or stay at the filling location? TIA, it's an IOE case number but as I understand that's everyone's nowadays.

And continual well-wishes and prayers to all the August filers in here.

If you are going to move, then you have no choice but to update your address and your case gets transferred to the new field office.
No one really knows how USCIS "queue" cases anyways so it doesn't really matter what position you are in, but not updating your address does have negative consequences.

I just moved. You’re legally required to send a change of address (AR-11 form) within 10 days of moving.

my lawyer said my new field office has a less wait and processing time so it *might* work out in my favor, but no guarantees.

Thank you both. Yes, as I indicated in the original post, I know we must update the address with USCIS. I was only curious what happens to our place in the queue, especially because we would then be moving back to a 'speedier' processing center. I suppose there's no way of knowing, but so long as it doesn't completely reset, it's not the end of the world. :)

Hi AlmightyS

I also submitted my AOS package on Aug24th. Fingers crossed that the predictions above are correct and EAD is on its way soon!

I submitted a expedite request, nobody reached out for 4 weeks then it got denied saying I didn't submitted evidence. The officer I spoke on the phone said the case is actively being processed and another expedite request would be a similar wait than regular processing in her opinion - not sure if it's true... she ended up making another expedite request in the end.

I have a job offer waiting for months now, just moved expected start date to February today 😢

Greetings to all waiting! I also submitted my AOS around these dates (Aug 23rd) and sadly no fast approval for my EAD :( . Any updates or some useful info for anyone's EADs or GCs lately?

GCG, how was your second expedite? any news so far?

No news here! Though I actually just swooped by the August thread to comment on a strange 'update' to my wife's USCIS account; everything's the same, except now the I-131 has a "reminder" on it that she may update contact information if parole was filed for a beneficiary (?). I didn't even know you could file for parole for someone else, and I just reviewed her documents and everything's fine. So I'm not sure why we have that reminder, or why it showed up in the past couple days. Anyone else see the same?

Unfortunately no news yet.

I submitted my expedite request on Nov 7th - as healthcare workers qualify for the expedite. Once it reached 30 days without a reply, they've escalated it to a tier 2 officer to call me back - I've received an email saying that they might reach out through text, email or call but dead silent since. Last time I called they said to wait another 30 days before making another inquiry.

It's very frustrating to be honest! I have a job offer pending for several months now and no way to know when I'll be able to start.

Wishing like a little kid that Santa will gift me an EAD for Christmas

Seems like it's a new update available to all pending I-131. Reddit had a lot of people asking about it last week.

Same here.

But no other update besides that.

Also, it might be a bit late now, but I did saw some people that got change of address (same time frame as us), and got approved already for the GC lol so could be a positive thing hopefully for you XD

We received a notice asking for our I – 693. We did not get a copy of that after the medical because they said we were not allowed to have a copy. What is everyone doing about the form? I’m assuming we have to pay for another medical?

What’s your PD?

You need to call the doctors office, you’re supposed to get a sealed copy and your own personal one (not sealed). If you have your receipt go back and tell them you need your sealed copy, I’ve never heard of this happen as all civil surgeons are very knowledgeable about the USCIS requirements.
