  1. Yea certainly sounds risky if get caught. Sucks we did the proper way and took so much longer, but glad it will be okay lol not having to worry about it. Thank you!
  2. Hello all! Just curious since awhile ago I asked for a friend about applying for green card as Canadian. Im so sure the only way is through K1 or CR1. She was ballsy and went a different way. She came into USA and will marry later and apply something, I assume adjustment of status. I'm thinking does it really work??? Canadian come into the USA a visitor visa because of the agreementfrom the 2 countries. Why can't we then just apply for AOS and wait inside USA? Was I dumb and did the long road by doing the K1 and wait longer...? If it is visa fraud, will she get caught for sure? Or it happens they get slip through the cracks? I read through the uscis website, and it seems that it can work... this is frustrating. Thank you!
  3. Thank you so so much! I love this forum and ppl taking time helping others lol if not I would never gotten my K1. I will link her that too. Thank you again!
  4. Thank you for all the details!! That's what I was thinking... If it were possible to apply after 3 months staying here, life would be so much better lol
  5. Hello! Sorry, stupid questions, need your expertise. I am helping a friend to get information to decide between the K1 and CR1 (I personally did the K1, and I will have her come to this forum, too). My friend, she's from Canada, and her fiancé, he is a US citizen. -Is K1 and CR1 the only options to get her to come to the USA and get a green card? -She was told that she can come in USA, stay for 3 months (Canada - USA have agreement that we can legally visit for a short time), then get marry IN USA, then apply for "something"? Is that a thing? -From what I see on the processing time, both visa are kind of similar, would you think the CR1 would be a better choice? -Can she travel to the USA (for little vacations time to time) while waiting for the CR1? -Also, I assume you can't stay in USA extended period of time while CR1 is in progress? Thank you!! Sorry
  6. Okay I hope this give you guys hope, and things are moving. I can finally say, it is approved the condition green card. I received it in the mail, and it is real. 7. Thank you!! Wow I really didn't think it is that quick because we are in a small city and it says average 18 months. I never got my AP but my work visa was about 1 month and 1/2 and I did got an RFE to resent finance docs for I-485 Thank you so much for the info! Lol you are so organized and knowledgeable XD I shall wait and keep you guys updated. I don't want to jinx it until I get the card in my hand DX So random too, Saturday morning I got the email notice. I hope you all get it soon! It is about 6 months mark so -fingers cross- news soon to everyone
  8. Ahhhh it says case approved for 1-485 and that's it... and the letter pdf have these... Omg is that it? I never thought we get it now, I don't know what's next after the green card... o.o I'm still in shock I don't want to jinx it Am I getting interview date after?
  9. Arg just got an email that they have "taken an action on my case" but no changes in the page. I feel like I have seen this before, like it take 1 day to update or something... I hope is not another RFE... ))))):
  10. Wow your patience... 32 months!! Anyone know how accurate is the USCIS processing time page? Mine says 18 months... still long DX I should start looking through how the green card stuff and if I NEED to naturalized. How's everyone application? Mine have noooo update since the notice that they received my RFE for the AOS
  11. 2 years!!! But omg congratulation!!! Finally! 10 years GC too, good news
  12. Same here. But no other update besides that. Also, it might be a bit late now, but I did saw some people that got change of address (same time frame as us), and got approved already for the GC lol so could be a positive thing hopefully for you XD
  13. Same here 😞 still no update on AP and AOS for us neither... And looking toward the AP more for the holidays
  14. I understand lol I'm like that too. Documents no different since when they first received. USCIS notice, there's account acceptance notice, appointment schedule and request for evidence. And the case history looks like this:
  15. Oh good they received it! lol I hope you get better chance for combo card . They received my RFE after I mean what we see so far, lol not getting working visa approve right away, maybe hopefully chance of combo card! lol
  16. A little update on my side, my EAD ONLY got approved (status: Card being produced). AP, no update since received documents 😞 More waiting then!
  17. XD hope so and I saw a lot that got approve right away were mostly EAD only (I think?) and the one that took longer, MIGHT get combo card? I hope getting combo card for us all lol
  18. It is nice to see the similar timeline XD to compare experience and all! Thank you for the info about RFE! I really hope it won't delay, but the wait is much better now since we are with our love one lol. I don't think I will get combo card before the holidays (too ambitious) to visit the family with husband lol. I really hope we get combo card or speedy GC lol Yea the 3 emails were weird, there's no 3 updates until the day after on the website. Back to spamming that refresh button lol for the status You never know! Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones
  19. Oh me too lol we delay a bit to get transcript lol it was easier than we thought. I also got 3 email too! the AOS dated the date of the biometric, change from case being actively review> then change to the next date >receive the RFE doc I really hope getting combo card.. PS: sorry I need to figure out how to do the multi quote lol
  20. Yupp like Slavaskii said only receive 1 letter for biometric but if you look bottom of the first page, I have 2 bar code, one for AOS ioexxx and the other is EAD ioexxx, My biometric was Sept 7, and the case history status for my EAD was like this below. And my AOS it says biometric was schedule: After the biometric, both got updated =D
  21. Did my biometric today, took 5 min. The lady stamped the appointment paper and gave it back to me. Status for the AOS and EAD change to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS", didn't get approve today for EAD ☹️ hopefully HOPEFULLY, maybe a chance to get combo card -fingers cross-!
  22. Lol thank you so much, I think I will do that too, just update RFE and evidence of income. Hopefully this week lol I think I got the letter in the mail like... 3 business days after. Ours was the 24th of Aug, and still waiting for my husband to find time to get the transcript (with their ID verification and all seems complicated -.-) USCIS giving out RFE like Bob Ross drawing bushes everywhere and not tell anyone lol
  23. Sorry, didn't let me edit to add lol did you resubmitted everything along with the marriage certificate, passport page etcetc
  24. Yea I am a bit worry, we are trying to get everything we have since the next time, they might just refuse the whole application, I don't know. Did you submitted yours yet? I am about to see if there's a topic or I might ask if we can submit online. I would much rather do that but if there's any chance of not working, we won't 😓
