I have seen in other groups a python program that shows some "interesting" statistics as the applications are getting processed.  From what I have seen though, there is some presentation features that are missing so I intend to develop my own.

Is it the one you're talking about ? I keep getting "Network error" every time I try to run it.

Initial download is done ...
subtracting out those not "received" in December or "likely received" in December by estimating dates for those that have something other than received status:

It would seem there were ~3548 total applications submitted:

Of these (The makeup is approximately)
        2921 Cases in "Received"

126 Attempted Expedite (Please don't do this - it wastes time for all of us)

        71 Updated (in some way)

131 Request for information or Evidence

        62 "Document" sent or returned

187 Rejected (for any number of reasons)

        54 Withdrawn

        18 Denied

96 Approved (likely Ukraine or other prioritized ones)

Looking for feedback from the posters here
it looks like there are 13(ish) main groups of WAC numbers from 2290024000 to 2290036000
That is a lot of "batches" with only a few hundred per batch.

From what I am seeing, I think it makes change the "batch"  from groups of 1000 WAC numbers to groups of dates ....

Something like

Dec 1-4

Dec 5-11

Dec 12-18

Dec 19-25

Dec 26-31

Thoughts?

An example of the status I hope to show .... there are no real delta values (yet) as I have just set the baseline data and am still developing the code.

Any thoughts? suggestions?

the August group has some stats being posted or soon ... I encouraged the owners of that to make a similar update ... (like getting an early baseline)

this is just thrown together and a little more manual than a non coder could easily run.

Wow this is awesome, I wish I was this smart. Are you going to share the program with the rest of us peasants afterwards ? I'm on the August group

hope you mean August 2021 ... if August 2022 you might seriously consider another path then k1 ... the backlog has been growing rapidly quarter after quarter.

I have seen in other groups a python program that shows some "interesting" statistics as the applications are getting processed.  From what I have seen though, there is some presentation features that are missing so I intend to develop my own.

Questions for the group:
1) Would it be helpful to see the number of outstanding petitions?

2) A graphical image showing how many are in total and have been completed (like a stacked bar graph)
3) What is a resonable reporting period for an update?  I am thinking once every few weeks until we see activity then once a week or so once it starts.  From other posts, daily scans tend to show very small counts and not "progress" towards completion (I think)

As for grouping, I think similar to the other posts, batches case numbers in groups of ~500-1000 makes sense.
That said, does anyone December have case numbers:
Greater than WAC2290036355
Smaller than WAC2290024000

There are some mixed November and Jan that might get into the mix but I think that is the major range.
Let me know if you fall outside of this range.  (I will try to filter out as many Nov and Jan as I can but I suspect that a few might slip through)

Wow! Thank you for creating this for our group.

1) Yes

2) Yes

3)I think your suggestions makes sense.

Thank you for the update.

I also requested to Expediate and was rejected. Although Haiti is currently in a civil war and the Country is in complete lockdown. It's complete anarchy over there. Just recently my fiancé was attacked and injured by rioters while trying to get some food. I'm so worried for his safety and I just don't know what to do at this point.

I am sorry to hear about that ...

Hoping and praying they are able to stay safe.

I have not seen anyone sucessfully request and get an expedite approved for K1.  There "may" be a few rare cases that happened but in general we are all just having to wait until our brass ring is presented.  Hopefully we can see some of these applications get processed I  the comming months.

over the next week or so,  will refine the script so I can track the deltas and report on changes as well as general completion status.   Don't much to change in the next month or so ... so expect another posting with a chart then (unless there is a substantial change observed)

Still open to suggestions
