How did she enter on a K1 without doing a medical exam in her country? That medical requires certain vaccines. You said the waiver took a year to process for the adjustment of status. So what did she do to bypass the vaccines for the K1 medical because the USCIS waiver needs to be approved beforehand.

My wife did medical in her home country, but when the doctor asked for vaccines, we simply told him no.

They will either check the box that says "applicant doesnt want to be vaccinated"

or "applicant chooses religious exemption from vaccines".

the doctor check the "applicant doesnt want to be vaccinated" on my wifes medical form.

As i mentioned earlier, K1 doesnt require vaccines until AFTER you arrive into the US and during AOS. However, this could be harder now since they require covid shot before you do medical in your home country. However, you can try to tell the doctor you oppose it, due to religious beliefs.

The waiver will be approved when you sumbit the i-485 and i-601 together.. this is how we did it.

If you ask me, the i-944 was much much harder than the i-601.

the i-601 was a walk in the park for us. it isnt difficult to do.

But a LOT more expensive.

*The I-944 no longer exists. If the I-485 interview was fairly recent then: "If an applicant or petitioner already provided information related solely to the Public Charge Final Rule, and USCIS adjudicates the application or petition on or after March 9, 2021, USCIS will not consider any information that relates solely to the Public Charge Final Rule, including, for example, information provided on Form I-944, evidence or documentation submitted with Form I-944" https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/public-charge

I 944 has gone

I 601's are usually fairly simple and most are approved, time and cost is the issue.

Not really...

It's cheaper than the iphone or android almost all people have...

The majority of people in this world no longer set priorities.. They buy materialistic things over more important things.. Skip the daily starbucks, ditch the apple airpod, ipad, and iphone, and the brand new car people bought with the COVID money, and they will have more than enough for the i-601 and lawyer fee..

Perhaps, their priorities merely differ from yours.
