Hi, anybody knows how long it takes from NOA2 to scheduling an interview? I was approved on Monday Oct 24.

Depends on your country. You need to wait for the nvc to send it there you should get something from them soon. But as far as I know getting it from nvc to the country can take up to 2 months.

Hopefully by tomorrow we get down to less than 2000 cases.

Then by mid November Hopefully they start September 2021 cases.

I'm just hoping they get working on 128000 soon... been 14 months and a little bit. So hoping everything is good and can start working on nvc/embassy phase soon.

So, we have de facto crossed the 14.5-month 80% case completion USCIS timeframe. We're likely into 15.25-month territory now.

So much for hiring a lot of extra people and investing in new tech. 😕

I really appreciate you guys scanning and posting these updates, this is great information to know. This data really captures the reality of what is going on behind the scenes at USCIS compared to the fake processing times they upload on their website.

I had a question regarding RFE's. I have noticed USCIS has been sending out alot of RFE's from these posts. Is this something that seems unprecedented and what is the reality behind why they are dong this, is it purely they are so far behind that they just send RFE's to people just to catch up and show to the public that their processing times of 80% completion is "real"? Do people here know if USCIS has been sending legit RFE requests? What are some common RFE's that they are requesting for?

Thanks

There are several contributing reasons.

1. An RFE has no processing time. It's tantamount to pausing the clock, if not even resetting it.

2. New hires, working strictly by the book, not taking any chances.

3. New interior rules unavailable to the public.

4. Weekly production quotas. An RFE Saturday may be a way some underperformers are making ends meet.

5. With petitions getting older, an RFE is a way to ask if the petitioner is still truly there. I've seen cases with multi-month old RFE requests.

What I've typically seen is request for proof of meeting within the 2 year period before filing the K1.

Most of them have submitted pictures and other evidences, but what I suspect is the "type of evidences and its arranggement " is causing the issue, probably not at par to the USCIS requirements.
