  I think for many reasons you need to take that DNA test.  1. The child is most likely yours. Yes one night stands can result in a child but the odds are in your favor. I think you both will be more confident knowing about the baby.

Either way I commend you for steping up and taking responsibility tor the child. I'll be praying all will be well for the three of you.

DNA test is of importance just to not be in limbo.

Why would USCIS do that? Only if you or your wife told USCIS hat your son is possibly not your biological father. And even then, I don't know why USCIS would do that. The salient facts are:

   I know of many cases were DNA tests have been requested for no reason at all. A person I know on VJ was asked for DNA for 3 of her 5 children all her husbands.

My best advice is to not be honest about anything unless you must. They only know what you tell them and what the system has on you and never over talk just short answers.

I concur with the above if you are explaining your life to USCIS as oddly and badly as you are here, I’m not surprised they are suspect.

USCIS does not care if your wife was impregnated by the milkman at her brothers house, while being filmed by pornhub. It isn’t a factor in this.

 

Just tell the damn truth - it’s that simple.

  They can request one, not give it. 🤔 🤗

DNA tests of children born in wedlock to verify the bonafide relationship of the same wedded couple? 
 

Do tell.   A link would be most useful to OP and. OST educational to the rest of us.  I am always open to new facts, if they exist.

  Hello, how I wish I could. I had a really nightmare time with immigration. Due to this I've been on VJ for a long time. I would pass the time reading other people's stories. 

This was years ago and thks poor woman was so done with immigration that her and her husband decided to stay in his country.  All 5 children where with her husband and no reason was given for the DNA tests.

  Her husband was Middle Eastern but can't remember if Egyptian or not.

  Again I apologize not being able to direct you to this sad story.

Oh That is a common ask for West African countries. I know plenty of couples who had to do DNA for their kids. Some came back negative (Not the father).
I know of 2 cases where the Wife was petitioning her Nigerian husband and two teen daughters. DNA asked for daughters weren't his he was deemed a Human trafficker with a life time Ban to the US.

DNA can always be asked especially for people who haven't seen their kids in years have no evidence of a relationship with the,Remember many parents leave their country to move to US leaving children behind with relatives and never return. Then petition their children years maybe even decades later. It happens often.

  Offended by some of the questions I'm sure.  This process makes evedyone hyper sensitive.  I don't blame him from some of the comments I have seen. I for one shouldn't have said anything about the DNA test, it's none of my business.

Regarding our marriage issues, we all made mistakes, I did something first which lead to my wife being upset and had a one-time thing with an acquaintance of her (what a chance). Anyways, I am the father on the birth certificate and be there for her during the entire pregnancy + birth. The bio-father is not in this picture. We were so sure baby is mine even at the 2nd interview and after he was born but appearance wise, we could tell as he gots a little older. Proofs wise, we have pretty much eveyrything together, tax, joint bank accounts, utility bills, health + auto insurances, affidavits, tons of pictures….

 

@mindthegap we still want to be married to each other so I don’t think the option of her getting a new marriage would work in our case. Just a side question, she intends to go back to grad school, will she be legally apply for and remain to stay in the US on an F1 international student visa then if the LPR status terminated? 
 

 

Then you don't have to disclose that the child is not yours if you're on the birthcertificate. But y'all case is hard to prove . Seems like an arrangement tbh that's why you're getting many interviews.

Even you are making it hard for the readers here to suggest alternative opinions to you. If your wife was stuck in another state for high risk pregnancy due to Covid, then why did  you not go there to see her every month?  She could not travel but you in the other hand could travel to see her. Also about the child you could have a DNA by now to know whose the real bio is. You can’t build a case around the child when you don’t even ascertain if the child is yours. You also mentioned whether you should tell the interviewing officer the truth? If there is another truth to the story besides what you told them at the previous interviews then you can’t mention it again because is further going to damage the legitimacy of your relationship.  Good luck and wish you the best in your next interview.

I know. DNA being asked for can happen at anytime was the point. Being married doesn't exempt folk from DNA test was the point.
