EAD processing time??? (merged)

After biometrics, current wait time is close to 8 months before you get EAD. Used to be 3 months pre-COVID.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

On the USCIS website they say that it takes 2-5 months to get the work permit. So i don’t get it…! Is that completely wrong ?

That's an average estimate, one could get in less than two months and another could get in 9 months.

Hi there,

i have a question, on the USCIS website they have processing times for the different forms. i would like to know about your experience. How reliable is it ??

I think you are not looking at the correct form/processing center.   The I-765s are processed at the National Benefits Center, and the current processing time frame is 5.5-10.5 months.   Anecdotally, it seems to be taking about 8 months.

what you are saying is wrong.

USCIS: form i-765.

Service center Potomac:

2 Months to 5 Months
All other applications for employment authorization
January 23, 2021

Who said it was only processed at NBC? USCIS website suggests otherwise.

What makes you think yours is at Potomac?   I’m general, they are processed at the NBC.
