I read somewhere that it's good to send them additional documents as you get tnem after filing i751 because it's a long process and it's a good way of showing that your relation is ongoing. I have to share some documents that I couldn't due to time constraint. I was wondering if I can send them now? They are good evidences like life insurance, a car with my hubby, etc

I won't get one hopefully lol

Then you shouldn’t need to worry! I was in the same boat last year when filing. Due to Covid we held back on the taxes as we simply couldn’t afford to pay what we owed and send the application! After further research it was found that any additional evidence that is sent, may just float around and disappear. I would wait for the RFE at least then you will have a direct address to your application. I decided to just wait. Hope for the best 😂

I applied April last year so it was the break of Covid. I waited a total of 62 days!! It was a huge glitch that happened to all April, May and some of June filers. It was crazy. Typically you should get it within 7-10 days but with Covid, back logs, staff shortage... who knows.

oh. That's sad. You think it can still take 62 days? 😳

Currently the extension letter/NOA1 is taking 4-5 weeks or more from the time that the package arrives in the lockbox

ROC Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

05/16/19 - Green Card Issue Date

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

04/07/21 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

If you have enotification, then? Can we get an email?

It's taking that long for the notifications and checks/credit cards to go through, then one or two weeks for the hardcopy. Text messages etc should be close to the money being taken from your account.

Everything has slowed down due to covid.

You'll be fine; you've submitted the ROC in a timely manner. If you have proof of delivery then that will do - it shouldn't affect you working etc

You’ll be fine. You’ve submitted your application within the correct timeframe so you are fine. Just have to be patient! You aren’t alone in this.

Save the additional evidence to bring to the interview.
