Hello everyone, I am an Indian citizen who recently got married and got my marriage-based conditional greencard. I have a long first name (with space) and a long last name which causes problems when my employer runs an everify check. It's really embarrasing to repeat myself twice whenever someone asks for my name. Hence, I have decided to change my name through the county court. Here are a few questions regarding name change after GC: 1) Will the i90 extension letter have my new legal name? 2) If yes, can I use the extension letter along with the court docs to change my name on my SSN and DL? Will it verify through SAVE? 3) Also, will this cause any issues during removal of conditions? Please let me know! Thanks!

Field office: Denver, CO. Hello everyone, we had our K1 AOS interview on Oct. 13, 2022. It was more like a regular conversation than an actual interview. Questions were primarily focused on when we got married, where we got married, my parent's name (to her) and the officer typed whatever we said into the computer (she asked to describe our relationship). She found out that the consulate forgot to send them the medical (or maybe they did and it got lost in transit) so she said she will issue us an RFE for medical. It was pretty relaxing, except for the long wait in the waiting room waiting for an officer to call us.

Hello everyone, I came to the US on a K1 visa in February 2022. Got my SSN in March, currently waiting for my AOS interview. My i94 expired in May 2022. I was wondering if it's still possible to get a Colorado driver's license with an expired i94/visa? I also have a Canadian driver's license issued by Alberta. Has anyone gotten their DL with an expired i94 + i797c for AOS? Let me know, thanks!

WHICH IS BETTER K1 VISA OR CR1 VISA?
taknev replied to DaisyJane's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
As a K1 visa holder who recently moved to the US and currently waiting for Adjustment of Status (AoS) interview - I would say, unless there's a compelling reason for not marrying in your home country (like travel ban for example), spousal visa (CR1) is way better than the fiance visa. Good luck! -

Hi, I moved to the US from Canada and the second form is exactly what I used for my Canadian police clearance certificate under privacy act. Disregard the first one. -

Hello all, I am moving to the US (Denver, CO) on Feb. 26th and I would like to actively avoid delays by knowing beforehand which SSA office in Denver has staff knowledgeable about K1 visas so that I can make an appointment and get my SSN. Also, kindly let me know if the chances of rejection are high if I apply for SSN after marriage. One more thing - can I go apply for SSN by myself without my wife accompanying me? Thanks in advance for your help!
