Even thought the case last update chance 2 times already

Yes they are just looking at your documents and every time they look at it the case date with update... it may take them 2 days to review everything.. may take them 30 days it just depends on your case... I learned the hard way that patients is key.. and not checking the ceac website every second(at least what I was doing HA) relieves the anxiety 😀... GOOD LUCK

But with no documents required what would be reason to put our case in AP when CO said our case is smooth.

My husband was in AP for 10 weeks with no documents required. They are doing extra background checks and expect AP in Pakistan to be long because odds are, it will be.

Some people think that the interview is the last step and that if the Consulate Officer says "approved", the visa will be immediately issued.  However, that is not the case. All cases go through some form of administrative process after the interview.  In many countries, the final checks take only hours.  In Pakistan, this last part of the process can take months.

An update merely indicates that a file was opened.....nothing more.

Just an update from this case, they send an email to my wife to schedule another follow up appointment. Is this is a good sign or bad? They already kept her passport from last time.  Can anyone tell me if this ever happen to them? Do they want more information about me or my wife?

Hello everyone,
I hope to get an answer on similar question.

After the interview today we were given 221g for not having new police certificate (the one originally submitted to NVC was 13 months old) and most recent tax transcript.

We were told to send the documents via mail and NOT to send the passport with them. Also we were told that we don't have to come back again for another interview.

Can someone really explain what should we expect out of this and how many days/weeks/months will it take to get a visa?

Thank you everyone!
