What are the chances that something gets done and signed so we dont have another shutdown during the holiday season in the midst of this stupid virus BS?

This could be catastrophic if we end up having to wait until after the inauguration.

Yes, to some degree, but Congress has been playing the Continuing Resolution game a lot longer than President Trump has been in the WH.

no disputing that. i dont like it either, but there is equal blame to go around there

noone is willing to talk or compromise, and so we have a dysfunctional government divided into tribes and now the people are also divided and want to punish anyone who wants to have a conversation and come to an agreement.

 

even if congress were to agree on something, i have no idea whether it would get signed.

I am all for term limits, but unfortunately for the Reps and Senators it will take a Constitutional Amendment which is unlikely to happen.  We have term limits for our state offices here and I am glad, but I still here a lot of media types cry about that under the guise of people being elected without much experience, I think it is more to do with the media types not wanting to start new relationships, but that is just my opinion.

 

In the end, I practice my own version of term limits with respect to my Congressional office holders serving my district and state.  I do not vote for any incumbent Rep or Senator, one term is enough.
