I filed an i129f about 3 weeks ago and was wondering how long it takes them to confirm the petition/send me a notice. I already know that it's obsolete  and it might take a while to receive anything because of covid but i would still like to know if anyone has got anything.

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Are you doing this in the hope of getting your I-130 approved faster? 

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

I dont think the trick to get the i130 approved faster works anymore. I just want an excuse to call them to say 'The processing time for k3 is 5-7 months and i still haven't received anything.' Right now, the california processing time keeps increasing for i130, if it reaches like 2 years at least i can say the k3 is beyond the average processing time. 

I hate that their generic answer is 'it's still within processing time and you should just wait.' The processing time for some service centers is like 2 years. That's the dumbest thing ive ever seen.

That’s really silly your purpose for filing was to be able to call them out for processing times. You are holding up the process for everyone single person that has filed a petition after you. That’s more dumb.

I mean the processing time for 5-7 months for k3 is available on the government website. If they truly dont issue k3 anymore they should just get rid of it altogether by not allowing anyone to apply. How am I holding everyone else up? What youre saying doesn't make sense. It's dumb.

I-130 at California Service Center?

 

I assume your case is at CSC and not TSC. NSC, VSC, or Potomac?

CSC does not routinely process I-130s for USCs.   They usually handle LPR based petitions or ones that are converted due to the petitioner becoming a citizen.  Rarely CR/IR caseload would be transferred to CSC.

 

Typically a K3 is matched to the same service center as the spousal petition.

October 7, 2018 In the USA

October 27, 2018 Green Card received 

October 29, 2018 Applied for Social Security Card - November 5, 2018 Social Security Card received

November 6th, 2018 State ID Card Received, Applied for Global Entry - Feb 8,2019 Approved.

July 14, 2020 Removal of Conditions submitted by mail  July 12, 2021 Biometrics Completed

August 6, 2021 N-400 submitted by mail

September 7, 2021 I-751 Interview, Sept 8 Approved and Card Being Produced

October 21, 2021 N-400 Biometrics Completed  

November 30,2021  Interview, Approval and Oath

December 10, 2021 US Passport Issued

August 12, 2022 PHL Dual Nationality Re-established & Passport Approved 

April 6,2023 Legally Separated - Oh well

You submitted a second petition that takes time for someone to look through thereby holding up when they could be reviewing someone else’s petition. Do you understand?

Is that illegal? Do you understand that? I paid for my petition, im in line just like everyone else.  Everyone else has the option to file for k3 do you understand that?

I’m not sure where I said or implied it was illegal- you don’t have to be considerate (clearly some think they are entitled) and I didn’t think I would be attacked for suggesting you be considerate. You clearly aren’t getting what I am saying and that is fine; No need to be nasty.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

NOA1s have been taken 2 to 4 weeks.  You can contact the lockbox after next week if you filed a G-1145 with the petition or in 2 weeks if you didn't include an I-1145.  It would be great to see someone outside ofCcentral America to get a K3.
