Good Morning Everyone,
I got little confused about online I 130 application. There is a question that asks when last marriage end under current spouse tab. So, I'm just wondering ... 🤔🤔 is " Last Marriage" referring to the current or previous marriage?
Thank you!!

Obviously, your current marriage hasn't ended. This is about your last/previous marriage.

No.  It is about the current marriage. Leave it blank.

It’s impossible to leave It blank that’s the problems. That’s why there is a question arises. It prompts you to choose a date for the last marriage termination and wouldn’t allow to press “the next button”. We put the date which is even before the Birth Date to avoid RFE for a previous marriage documentations which we don’t have obviously, as there was no previous marriage. Not sure how to handle it and how they will take it.

Back in December I left it blank, I just ignored the warning messages.

There is no way to ignore it because it asks for the date and if there is no date (digits) typed in, it doesn’t allow to press next. It highlights the date box red as if something wasn’t filled out.

They may have updated things on the form, but I definitely just ignored the warnings when it came to the Date Marriage Ended and left it blank. Instead of clicking next, can you click around to another section using the navigation menu on the top instead?

The only date that I wasn't able to leave blank was the "Date to" box for my most recent physical address (where I still lived). In that case I put the latest date that the system would allow and explained this in the additional information section.

The question in the online form is really kind of deceptive.
In the online form it askes, on the same page.........

"On what date did you marry your current spouse?"
and
"When did your last marriage end?"

To me the first question very clearly is talking about "current spouse" and "last marriage" in the second question would be talking about previous spouse.  It seems unambiguous.

HOWEVER

Answering the way one would intuitively answer, yields an entirely different response in the resultant online PDF.  The answer one gives for the question "When did your last marriage end?" populates the space in the pdf  "Date Marriage Ended (mm/dd/yyyy)" which minus the word "last" has an entirely different meaning.  To me it's yet another a defect in the form so I'm sure they are used to seeing nonsensical dates in there. but I agree the more correct answer would be to leave it unanswered.
