Same-sex marriage: anywhere we can marry right now?

So myself (UK) and my partner (US) were planning on getting married months ago in Canada and obviously with what has been going on, borders shut and we couldn't get married. We are tired of waiting and just want to be together but I'm struggling to find any countries allowing both UK + USA visitors in via their borders right now that also allow for same-sex marriage, has anyone had any experience of doing this recently?

I know UK is permitting US visitors but it's a bit tricky because my partner can't really take more than a week/10 days off work right now and with the 14 day self isolation rule, makes it a bit tricky.

Does anyone know any other countries right now we could legally get married so we can start this process? At this point we really don't care where or how far away. Thanks!

Gibraltar

+1 to Gibraltar.

No quarantine, no special visa, no apostille requirements, and all documents are in English.

@VJmember2020 recently got married there (in Covid times).

We got married there pre-covid.

Thanks both!

Is there any other countries that are closer for US? Just because Gibraltar has nearly a 30 hour flight time from LA and doesn't give us much time together with his work commitments. I'd rather be the one travelling further but if that's not possible, we will look into Gibraltar.

Potentially Iceland? Not sure about the entry requirements during Covid, though.

I think the issue is one of them is in the UK and can't enter the US due to the travel ban.

If the UK partner is able to isolate in Mexico, or somewhere else, for 14 days, then getting married inside the US would be an option.

if you have been in canada for more than 14 days it does not apply to you.

OP mentioned planning to get married in Canada, not that they were living there. I think they're in the UK right now. So they wouldn't be able to get into Canada.

Yes I live in UK and partner lives in US, we were just planning on getting married in Canada but they closed their borders so unable to get in there currently.

Looks like Iceland is still closed to US residents, though you would be let in. But that rules it out if you’re trying to minimise time away for the US partner.

You could look into Mexico?

Only because of a 15 hour layover.  Fly to Madrid,  take the train to Gibraltar, can do it in less than a day

YMMV
