I just can't believe these new fees ...I haven't filed my I129f yet since he has decided to come visit in October ...I just think it's awful that they are punishing people such as us ...who want to do things legitimately ...and not illegally like so many others ...If illegal immigration is the problem then why are the people who are doing it legally being punished ???????

The problem is they can't punish the illegals... because the illegals don't follow rules they make.

My friends laugh at how much work we are doing to do things legally. They suggest a plane ticket to mexico and a drive across the border is easier, cheaper and quicker. The sad thing is they are right.

Obviously you've never tried to do so.

Even assuming you are in fact successful at crossing the border, it's far more expensive to pay a coyote than pay immigration fees. To cross the border from Palomas, Chihuahua, to Deming, NM, starts at about $1400. My husband's entire immigration process from initial visa to I-751 cost about the same.

What is the new fee?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

unfare...dont even get me started on unfare.

we have been waiting a year and half for fbi clearance for his greencard. weve already spent over 1200 on the application...advance parols x2...work auth. x3...renewing drivers liscence x3 and now they only want 1050 to adjust which include ap and ead. since we filed before the new fees we will continue to pay for ap and ead at the new price of 300 each. yes thats over 600 a year becasue of the fbi.

now is that fair?

I won't say a word about it being "unfair" (I've already worked through those emotions..even without therapy...woot! ),but I will say it's depressing! I'm glad we are so far through the process, but we do have to lift conditions this fall. It was going to be about 270 bucks, and now it's going to be about 540! (I would have to double check that 2nd figure...) It doubled...bummmerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr is all I can say!!! :( (Worth it! but BUMMER!) M.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Honestly ...I don't blame anyone who wants to come to our country and start a new life ...My great grandfather snuck over here on a boat years ago ...I live and grew up in a town that is about 75% hispanic ...and it is very likely that the majority of these people are illegal ...My blame does not lie with these people ...they have the same intentions that most of our ancestors had when coming to this country ...and they have the right to be here as much as the next person ....as long as they do it legitimately ....

My blame lies with big business ...those are the ones who bring these people into this country to work for peanuts ....because they'd rather not pay anyone a living wage ...immigrants are some of the hardest working people in this country...and they fill many positions that others are not willing to take ....I feel these fee increases ..in conjuction with this so called "immigration reform " are a way for these corporations to cover their behinds ...so that the finger isn't being pointed at them ...It's the "illegals" who are ruining it for everyone ....is what they want us to believe ...I believe the term is "divide and conquer".....

This is why I feel the fee increase is unfair ....because I am trying to do this by the book ...just like everyone else on this site....I see examples every day of the difficulty that illegal immigrants go through...and I'd rather not subject the man I love to any of this ...After all is said and done we are all just following our dreams of a better life ... It's what this country was founded on ....the "American Dream"....and these fee increases are just a punishment in my eyes ....
