Has anyone else had their biometrics appointment with no sign of their RFIE yet? Status still says fingerprints received but I do check often as I am dreading the RFIE lol.

You're good. I forgot my marriage certificate and they let it slide even with the name change thankfully. Don't do that though lol.

We had biometrics yesterday on the 10th. Case tracker right now for I-765 and I-485 both show fingerprints taken now. I-131 shows “case was recieved” like usual as the biometrics weren’t for the I-131. No sign of RFIE for I-944.

Help,

For the I-944, is it okay to submit bank statements with a different currency? From home country?

I think so, but on the actual i-944 form it says to put the amount in USD so you can just convert it. But obviously your statements from your home country will be in a diff currency.

Can you just use a copy of the degree? Or you also must use a transcript?

I will go through it one more time, but this is what I currently have. I know you don't need to duplicate documents already submitted with the I-485, but I'm still going to send them again. If anyone else has other suggests please do say!

  1. Copy of Marriage Certificate of Beneficiary and Petitioner (proof of name change)
  2. Copy of Beneficiary’s UK government taxable income statement 2019-2020
  3. Copy of Petitioner’s 2019 IRS Wage and Income Transcript
  4. Copy of Petitioner’s 2019 IRS Tax Return Transcript
  5. Copy of Beneficiary’s Savings – Bank account statement covering 12 months
  6. Copy of letter from Equifax demonstrating no current credit record for Beneficiary
  7. Evidence of Beneficiary Health Insurance
  8. Evidence of Beneficiary’s degree and certifications
  9. Evaluation of Education Equivalency
  10. Evidence of Occupational Certification
  11. Evidence of Beneficiary’s certifications in English and other languages

Oh I have all of this already so this is easy if I do get an RFIE. I probably will but just had biometrics first. My three year old though. She has nothing for the beneficiary so it's mainly just my husbands information, right? None of mine?

Same status for my information too. I wonder if we will get the RFIE later. Even if we didn't I would get it done to take to the interview just in case haha.

Yeah the main timely things are education equivalence and the letter from credit bureaus - if you have those you're doing good! I don't know about your daughter I'm afraid!

Hi all- looks like I am joining the club to get an rfie in the mail. I would appreciate anyone that can shed some light on their rfie they received. I don’t think it’s going to be the I-944 as I sent it with my initial application and I have sent the long form birth certificates so I am curious if it’s certain things in the I-944 packet that they requested an rfie for

Probably the medical examination forms. They aren't required to be sent in at the time, just that you will have to have a medical done and take the results with you to the interview. Pretty standard to get an RFIE for this in basically every application.

I received the I-693 deficiency notice several weeks ago, and there was no change to my status on my account. I think this RFIE will be different. I did not submit the I-944 so I was assuming it was that.... we'll see though! I think I did read somewhere of someone recently getting a RFIE for the medical instead of a deficiency notice. Oh the suspense! lol

Yup. Like the deficiency notice says, "If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Request for Evidence with further instructions."

I don't remember if they will accept the copy of your degree alone but you can go to their website and they have live chat: https://myiee.org/immigration.html

As for me, since all the copies were back in the Philippines in a folder, I just asked my brother to scan and email me the copies. You might want to check with them if they will still accept scanned copies. I did mine last June when the US and the Philippines were still very much on lockdown.
