ASC Biometrics are open and capturing finger prints for I-539 petition

A quick search shows that ASC are too busy scheduling Biometrics appoints for I-539 applicants while neglecting everyone else. Time to file some lawsuits.

What does the picture you posted tells us expect that this special appointment is short notice? That's all I can see there.

Nothing about when the person who received this notice filed their application. They're probably waiting all the time too.

When you start this process, if you dont have patience you're going to drive yourself crazy. Everyone in every category is waiting and we will all continue to wait. It will happen, eventually.

there are hundreds that are showing finger print taken for I-539 in the month of july. Dont think that is a coincidence.

The urgency with I-539 is that there are people trapped here who cannot leave due to airspace/airports being closed and flights cancelled and they will soon be out of status. An overstay can have disastrous consequences for them for future visa applications. 
 

AOS applicants, however, are in authorized stay once you have the receipt for the I-485. Doesn’t matter if it takes USCIS 3 years to get to your file, you won’t fall out of status during that time. Yes, it’s a mess that it will mean a longer wait to permanent residency but a K-1 was never a good choice if being an LPR quickly was the goal.

why dont they just open the airports so these people can go away. At this point COVID is not even under control. It is sad state in America. i mean really this is just a whopping mess

I totally agree. I work for an airline so I am the first one to want flying to get back to normal. 
 

It has been a total overreaction but that’s another discussion for another board...

This doesn't surprize me at all. I expected there to be some kind or priority queue for certain filers over others. I just hope by August we'll start to see biometrics appointments being scheduled for everyone.

 I hope so too. Cant believe soo much of energy is being spent of Executive orders that achieve nothing but make life harder for ordinary folks. That is some sadism right at the top

Where are you seeing this information about fingerprints being taken? I have a pending I-539 since Feb waiting for my biometrics and there is no news. I have a sick child undergoing medical treatment here in US and I have to deal with this visa mess in the middle of my personal crisis. No amount of follow ups have helped...So i wish what you say is true and I was part of those hundreds...please share your source of information.
