Just got an email from USCIS stating that my interview has been scheduled. And here I thought it won't be till next year, LOL.

This is super exciting, congratulations!!

 

I haven't yet. I'm a (late) September filer (I got ready to be scheduled on 02/02/21), but thank you so much for sharing about your interview being scheduled! It's been hard to figure out where the Brooklyn office is at with scheduling interviews, so you getting an interview date scheduled at least gives me a general idea about what to expect.

Thanks! I checked USCIS processing time and it still says 18 - 42 months. I'm now calling nearby doctors to schedule my I-693 since I didn't submit it yet. 

I feel like you will be scheduled sooner as expected as well, so better to be prepared!

Had our interview yesterday at 7:45 am. The interview took around an hour. Very socially engaging. Light and happy. By the end, officer was laughing and telling jokes. It felt like we were were catching up with an old friend. The officer thanked us for the documents and verbalized approval and intention to complete it by the end of the day. 

 

By afternoon the case status was changed to " A new card is being produced" 

 

We had made photocopies all the originals we bought to the interview and had organized it with tabs the officer appreciated  it.

 

Questions asked were:

- How we met?

- What we do for living?

-Our address.  

- Asked us each others names and DOB

I had my interview on Aug 19 at Louisville, KY FO. We were called in separately. I (beneficiary) went in first. The officer went through the i485 info and the yes/no questions. I had to answer yes to "have you ever been denied a visa" and "have you ever worked without authorization." Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe those are forgiven when you're married to a USC. Then he proceeded to ask questions about our lives together, how we met, who cooks the most, our hobbies, who's at the wedding, who proposed, why we got married, etc. Then he called my husband in and asked the same list of questions.

 

Overall, I think it went well and lasted about 45 mins. The officer was very nice and professional, explaining the process in details. He mentioned that I should receive a decision in 2-4 weeks. Since then, my case status hasn't updated yet and still at Interview Was Scheduled. I'm hoping I'll hear back soon 😕

Well, after 4 weeks of waiting, my case status just changed to New Card is being produced!!!
