Sadly, that is very likely.

I don’t see them scheduling interviews for Victorians when there are border restrictions currently in place.

Your case will sit with consulate though until they can reschedule.

as soon as border restrictions ease email ASAP.

there are a few Victorians I know waiting with approved expedites

Thanks for ur advice. U had the visa interview in Sydney?

So I had the expedite approved on Friday and earlier today my case changed to "in transit".
I submitted my case having my address as Melbourne however I have been out of the state since the lockdown started and staying with family members, so I won't be restricted in attending an interview. Does anyone know what I should do with my case? Are they not going to give me an interview date because my case says I live in Melbourne?

What a roller coaster! My husband got his interview canned an hour before his interview time due to the last minute lockdown of Auckland last month. We were finally rescheduled for today and my husband has been APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was in and out of the embassy in 20 minutes. We were worried about my income because I moved from NZ and have only been working for 4 months in the US and a co-sponsor was not an option for us. They did not ask to see any paperwork or more financial evidence. I get to see my husband for the first time since Janaury!!! Whoooo!!!

Congrats!! Hoping my husband's is as smooth :) I'm sure you are absolutely so excited! Does he have to get an exemption to leave NZ or will he just be able to fly over?

Just got word that the NVC expedite is being reviewed! This has been a long journey for my friend and her husband they have been separated for over a year. Process for the Green Card has been over 2 years. Now we wait and hope to hear back with good news that the expedite has been approved. They filed under emotional hardship. All the approvals on this forum have been very encouraging. Look forward to having him join the approval crew!
