agreed - first because oath's have started again in selected areas, and second the bill has too many debatable points that nobody will be able to agree to in a short time frame.

I would love a remote oath though - not only because of covid :)

I hope I don't get forced to do oath remotely. I was looking forward to a proper ceremony, with social distancing.

You can always rescind your application and reapply when the coronavirus will have been gone.

By the time the bill got passed and then the agency researched and set up a process to do remote ceremonies most locales will probably be doing normal ceremonies anyway. Of course some locations will take much longer to start up again. Of course it is all just speculation. Good luck to all that are waiting🍀

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

If I have to do it remotely, then that's what I'll do. Just would have preferred a real ceremony and would be happy to wait if that was possible, I have quite a few US friends who have never been to one and wanted to come along.

Chances for your friends to attend your oath ceremony will be much higher when it's done remote vs. on-site for the coming months, if not years.

Social distancing oaths are for those that take the oath, not bystanders to fill up the social distance space

09/18/2020 - NOA via text

06/05/2021 - Notification of biometrics scheduled

09/17/2021 - Interview - decision cannot be made

11/24/2021 - Denial letter, 30 days to appeal

12/24/2021 - Appeal sent back with I-912 waiver

12/24/2021 - Motion to terminate deportation proceedings from 2013 filed
