W2 is not the proof of employment. You are unemployed at present so you can’t provide what they asked for. You need to find a joint sponsor.

Hello friends, I have a question. I have lost my job because of Covid-19 and now NVC is asking me for proof of employment. I uploaded my W2 and they've rejected it. Please I need help. Thanks.

You would need a letter of current employment or CURRENT pay stubs to show CURRENT employment.  Since you are not currently employed, you will need to show no income on your I-864....and you will need a joint sponsor.......who must submit the same documents as you, the primary sponsor.

Send a monthly letter or email to NVC to continue your case while you seek new employment and/or get a cosponsor

a letter I received (this was years ago) said to continue my case i needed to write to them monthly

things do change but don't let them send it back to USCIS for cold storage (just be safe and let NVC know you intend to pursue)

The term is "Joint Sponsor".  The term cosponsor is never used in immigrant visa cases and is misleading.

To the OP and another poster who questioned whether it was necessary to include evidence of current income when submitting an I-864EZ specifically, "Here's your sign." LOL  It's also further evidence that "current income" has nothing to do with YTD income or "current year" income.  The OP needs to go back to work and submit a new affidavit reflecting current income and employment information, OR find a joint sponsor.  An "employed" joint sponsor needs to be currently working and show a pay stub as evidence, or they will face a delay when NVC asks for it.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
