Agreed.. I saw another thread on this site where a person said his showed 16 months even though his interview is scheduled for next month..so it seems like USCIS is tweaking their system ( and causing angst in the process)

Yes, and even before this new update the case completion was far off from reality for most people. When I became a citizen in March 2021, my estimated date was October 2021.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

I have applied on May 2020, bio-reuse on Jan 2020 and today I found the below estimated time...:

Estimated time* until case decision:

Things are taking longer than expected. You do not have to do anything at this time.

may 2020 applied. It has been 1 year since we applied. No bio reuse or any issue notice. now today, slapped with another 7 month wait time. Is there any others who are going through same

Yes, I have applied beginning of May 2020 and got biometrics appointment only few days ago. I have seen many people in the same situation. It looks like that people applied during the closure have more wait time than others even those who applied later.

It looks like it depends on the way that you file as well...3 yr or 5 yr!  I did get this update yesterday (Filed May 15, 2020- Bio Reuse Jan 20, 2021)

Estimated time* until case decision:

approx. 5 months

*These completion projections are based on case processing for applicants who have been lawful permanent residents for at least 5 years. For all other applicants, completion projections may vary.

That's the message I have on mine as well.

Except the "taking longer than expected - you do not need to do anything at this time."

Thank goodness my card is good til 2023.

Applied May 6th 2020

Bio reuse Jan 20 2021

I just got my oath ceremony today and finished my process.

The ceremony is really quick, no singing National Anthem or photo with the judge due to Covid. Also, no one allowed to attend the ceremony. It was only 25 of us in the hall today.

For everyone who applied, hang in there!

Same. Mine went up as well and now shows 7 more months to go. Filed may 2020.

Zero communication since filing except for the initial 'we got your form' 12 months ago.

Congratulations.

Out of curiosity; did you file based on 3 yr or 5yr?

Last Friday 5/28 I had my ceremony in New Orleans. Very emotive and exciting ceremony. I am glad my immigration journey is over. I’ll apply for passport on Tuesday and then update SSN and register to vote. Of course  I will be around to help people that are in the same boat !

Hey all.  Just checking in with my progress, or lack thereof. *grumble*
Applied online under 5yr rule: May 6th 2020
Bio reuse notice: Jan 20 2021
No updates since receiving bio reuse. I'm thinking it might be time for a case inquiry.
When I do log in I get the "Things are taking longer than expected. You do not need to do anything at this time" message on my case.
It's frustrating as people who have this year are already finished and I'm here waiting over a year for any movement. *sigh* 😕
I know COVID is still affecting things, but jeez.
*Apologies for the mild rant*
