Normally DMV require you to change your licence to a California licence 10 days after becoming a resident in California.

However the COVID19 situation have placed DMV under state vide closure for personal visits.

I called the DMV and was advised the provision currently does not apply and i can go about and use my international licence at present .

I was requesting a link to anything in vriting stating this fact but was advised police officers do already have this information ..

would you drive - during these circumstances- anyone with different experience or information .

Tons of people drive with their foreign licenses for longer than 10 days, many for years. Even under normal circumstances it's impossible to get an appointment for the driving test within 10 days, so that's the normal.

The cops will definitely understand.

I used my NC license over a year before changing to a CA DL.
