Hi everyone. I know it's really stressful time for everyone and pretty much everything is affected by this. I managed to fly to the US to be with my now husband from the UK, almost a month ago. We got married a couple of weeks ago and are hoping to file Tuesday.

I know they have closed all offices and aren't doing interviews, so my question is what happens regarding the 90 days? We are married and we will technically have "filed", but I don't know whether the 90 days also includes the interview etc, or as long as we send all the paperwork before then will we be okay?

To be honest with you, with all that's going on and because I had to come here sooner than we planned I wasn't completely prepared so excuse my lack of knowledge on the adjustment side of things.

I also understand that we might not know at this stage. If that's the case, all we can do is prepare the paperwork since I am here now and we're married. Any help would be appreciated and hope everyone is doing okay in this difficult time.

The 90 days is for the marriage event only.  Green card interviews could be  4 months to a year from date of application.   Depends on where you live

YMMV

Once filed, you have a period of authorized stay while your case is being adjudicated.

The interview will likely take closer to a year or longer at many offices even before this whole thing...virtually no way within 90 days.

But some have had approval without interview.   Not sure what the new normal post pandemic will be.

Right. The adjudication will likely take a year or so, not necessarily an interview...that piece is up in the air at this point.

thanks so much everyone! I assume this also means my employment authorisation etc would all be delayed?

That's handle by the NBC. They are still operational, although it's impossible to know at what capacity at this time.

I don't know.  NBC was getting the initial adjudication at about 75 to 90 days.   Before pandemic some were getting GCs at 3 to 4 months.   When my wife applied the guesstimate was 18 months, in reality it was 9 months.   The uscis was getting through the backlog in most offices.

Even pre-covid, interviews were not taking place within the 90 days.  We waited 14 months for ours, because the Seattle USCIS office is so backed up.

They are only approving those who have already done biometrics but if you submit your application now,we actually dont know when they will start scheduling appointments for BIOMETRICS. So this will surely take  a long time.

Hi everyone... I know I'm being silly but I am a bit overwhelmed... Do I need to schedule a medical before I send off my AOS package? Do I even need a medical again since I had one back home? Do I need to submit the i693 at all?

Read the instructions for 693.

Your medical from K1 will remain valid as long as you file for AOS within 1 year of the date of the medical and your vaccination sheet was marked completed.
