Do you have room to add the dates on when the actual I-864 packet is sent back to the NVC, as well as the IV bill? Those are the two things that I'm trying to keep track of when looking at other people's timelines but it's a bit tough. :mellow:

Sure, there is practically an infinite amount of room on this thread. The only problem is that once more and more collumns are added, it becomes increasingly hard for people with small screens (like those found on the laptops or my 15" LCD screen) to use the charts. I shorted the Shortcut collumn to JSC so now there's a bit more space. I think I can easily fit either one of those dates in there :), but I wanna wait a bit for more suggestions before I do any more edits, since it get's rather exhausting to look up around 40 VJ members every time something is changed :(...

just wondering , out of all the folks with recent NOA2's in June so far - if anyone already got a NVC case number. I called the automated line and they did not have any record of my petition yet .

We haven't gotten ours yet either, but my wife suspects it will come to us at the beginning of next week, I'm still hoping at the end of this week tough :P...

Hi,

We have a question about the NVC process. Our petition was approved June 5 and was received by the NVC only this week, June 22. When will the petitioner and beneficiary get their case number for interview purposes? Is it the NVC that will give such case number or the consulate where the beneficiary is. We are a bit confused because we thought its the NVC that assigns the case number but we have a couple friend who said that their petition (k-1) didnt go thru the NVC and in fact is already on its way to the US embassy in Manila, Philippines where his fiancee is, but he cant also give us his MNL case number because he didnt receive one so my understanding is that their case is still at the NVC. Isnt it that all applications for a visa to enter the USA, ( save probably for tourist visas - i am not sure ) whether an immigrant visa or non-immigrant visa goes thru the NVC?

we need clarifications, thank you.

Hi,

We have a question about the NVC process. Our petition was approved June 5 and was received by the NVC only this week, June 22. When will the petitioner and beneficiary get their case number for interview purposes? Is it the NVC that will give such case number or the consulate where the beneficiary is. We are a bit confused because we thought its the NVC that assigns the case number but we have a couple friend who said that their petition (k-1) didnt go thru the NVC and in fact is already on its way to the US embassy in Manila, Philippines where his fiancee is, but he cant also give us his MNL case number because he didnt receive one so my understanding is that their case is still at the NVC. Isnt it that all applications for a visa to enter the USA, ( save probably for tourist visas - i am not sure ) whether an immigrant visa or non-immigrant visa goes thru the NVC?

we need clarifications, thank you.

Our case has been entered into the NVC on Friday :) (if that was 6/22...i can't remember). My husband and I went away for the weekend, but he'll be on tomorrow most likely to update everything :)

I have a silly question - i got NOA2 in the mail last week and i was reading about what’s next !!! and i have been reading that people "email their Choice of Agent form" now i know what a Choice of Agent form is but my question is that does that form has an email address that you email to or they send you an email that you mentioned in USCIS website?

I just wasn’t sure how they have our email address !!!

You need to go to the National Visa Center forum. There you will find a pinned post (at the very top) that's called Timesavers... then go to pages 10 & 11 and read the shortcuts that you can use for the CR1/IR1 visa once you get to the NVC. You'll find them to be very useful even if you choose not to use the shortcuts.
