Hi all, new member here.

Does anyone know if the beneficiary needs to inform about changing address if they move? can't find any answers online. I don't want to miss the booklet for the NVC stage or will they ask for an address to send this package?

Thanks in advance

Congratulations!!  Join us in the DECEMBER 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Thanks for all the helpful info. Profile updated!

I got a response today. They are requesting more evidence. Is there anyway I can know what they want before I get their letter?

I’m glad they responded. This is good. Unfortunately there’s no way. Just gotta wait for the mail. I’m sure it’s a quick fix. Best wishes.

Hey Everyone!

So glad to see everyone getting their NOA2s. I randomly checked my UCIS case status just now and it looks like they sent an RFE. Hopefully we can get them the RFE documents as soon as possible so that we can get the NOA2 as well. Will update my timeline as well for reference.

Have a nice week.

Have a nice week.

Technically speaking, an RFE is a written request for more information and documentation that USCIS mails out if they believe that they don’t yet have enough evidence to approve or deny a given application. An RFE normally is a minor item and should not be looked at like it's a denial but an opportunity for you to complete your application. USCIS would not send out an RFE if they were going to deny your application. It's just a step that they must take and once they have your information and it meets their approval then you should be seeing your NOA2.

There are many varying degrees of RFE's. Some as simple as not "ticking" off a question. Others forgot the fiancé(e) letter and then others who met on a website and now need to prove that it wasn't a marriage arrangement website.

Once you get your RFE, read over very carefully as you only have one chance to reply accurately without causing undue harm. Once you know FROM THE RFE what it is set out to correct and to include "everything" they are asking for. Then reread the RFE to ensure you are compliant. Make copies of everything for your record and send back using their instructions which are contained within the RFE. If the RFE requires a signature, PLEASE don't forget this. Include the original RFE letter along with a cover letter explaining what you are including in your reply. Like a checklist format. Use the envelope that is provided for the return of your RFE. Once received at USCIS your case will begin adjudication where the agent had left off. No one can tell you how long it will take so be patient.

Question about rfe. What are acceptable documents for proof of meeting with in the two years time frame I sent a plane ticket and that was not enough. If I wrote a statement and send pictures would that be enough? How should i”the evidence be prepared ?
