Hey Everyone! I remember there was someone here who did not apply for naturalization and is patiently waiting for the greencard like me so this information could be useful -  I received the 24 months extensions letter on Monday dated end of October. So it looks they are sending those out.

I did not have time to apply for naturalization yet and am still waiting for my bios appointment to be rescheduled. Hope my permanent greencard process will keep moving since they touched my case to check and send that letter.

Thank you for this! I have not applied for naturalization (was never part of my plan) and I’m still waiting on an extension letter. I hope it arrives soon. My old extension expires in little over a month!!

  • 3 weeks later...

For my Husbands GC

I-751 Applied April 2020, Beginning of May received the 18 month extension letter

2 months later, file states biometrics will be reused.

NOTHING else shows up, and GC Extension Due to expire Oct 31, 2021.

I called for Infopass Oct 3 , One month later exactly Infopass appointment for Nov 3rd. (they called back 20 days after my call)

Nov 3rd receive stamp in passport, good for one year.

Travel Nov 8th - Nov 21 (as of Nov 8th no change in case online )

When we returned , 10 Year Green Card was in our mailbox (Nov 21) received sometime in our travel dates.

Nov 22, 24 month revised extension letter was received.

YSC Patomac Center.

Hope this helps someone.

Hello Catherine. Does this mean they sent the permanent green card but the status online still shows ¨Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken¨? Or did it change status once they mailed it? When in April was your priority date? Did you apply for N-400?

Thank you!

Ian

Ian

When we left on our trip  the status still showed fingerprints were taken, Nov 3rd my husband had gone to get a stamp in his passport since we were traveling.

I just realized his date was in march not April , im not at home where his form is, but I just looked in his log of status.

Mar 2 , 2020 - They received the application

Somewhere in here - received 18 month extension letter

May 13,2020  Fingerprints are going to be re-used

Nothing.........

Nov 3, 2021, Infopass appointment for stamp in passport to travel

Left Nov 5 from our home to travel nov 8 ----status had not changed as of here

from the log :

its so weird , seems to be out of order

Nov 12,2021 We ordered your new card

Nov 15, 2921 We approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence

Nov 16th, we have mailed your new card

Nov 17, Post office has picked up mail containing your new card

Nov 18, Received new card

Nov 22, Received new 24 month Extension Letter

No we did not apply for N-400

I swear I hating this i751 process. My extention expire in exactly 32 days, and yet I am still waiting on tier 2 officer to call me back. I have been waiting for almost 30 days, what's so different  about these 2 or 3 days. Schedule  the interview alread.  I swear i feel like this process almost nit worth it. 😑

At least they let you schedule the call 60 days ahead. I'm having the worst of luck and a couple of agents insisted that I can schedule a call only 30 days before the expiration date... It is frustrating for us and embarrassing for the 🇺🇸...we do our part, we document our lives and go under scrutiny of every part of it, yet nobody treats us with any dose of respect...

I agree, we were told to call 60 days before for the interview which would be scheduled within 30 days. Well there is a week and a half of that left and then only 30 days till the NOA expires..... hate this waiting, it always feels personal.

In the same boat as most of you to get the extension stamp as it expires on 24th Dec. Called multiple times but am told to just keep waiting and someone will call you. On the other hand received my interview appointment for my N400 application.

I waited for 30 days for them to call me and tomorrow to get a stamp.  I wish they could just schedule the interview already

I was finally scheduled for an interview

BUT

only for N-400

AND unfortunately

I moved since applying for I-751 (did everything according to the book, put a new address in, called and verified that the change went through, got a confirmation via text and mail that address was changed)

so they scheduled me now on a different coast that I am residing currently.

I am so tired of being treated like a disposable, half human...I expect so little of them and they still manage to disappoint me.

I am happy you got the interview, but I understand about the wrong coast. We moved to the East coast 7 mths ago and I changed all the addresses and got all the confirmations. When they finally called for the Adit stamp appointment (only 2 days before the 30 days was up) they attempted to send us to Portland OR for the stamp, she said the system seemed to have defaulted to the original office even though everything was correct in the computer. Super frustrating that even when we follow the rules they still screw us up. Luckily she was able to change it to the correct city office. She said we should hear about the interview for N400 within 4-6mths because he is all set for that but they are waiting for the I751 department to catch up.....

Good luck to you!

Thank you!

I have happened to have a phone call scheduled with them (stamp 🙄🙄) and I got the rudest and unwilling person on the phone (I must be a magnet for those). She told me to write a letter to my local office and ask about rescheduling... basically she rerouted me to the least efficient solution to fix the problem that they caused.

I hope that you will not have to wait much longer, I am waiting for all of us!
