I just sent in a divorce decree and a letter telling them that me and my ex spouse got divorced due to irreconcilable differences , I didn’t go into details. Maybe i should have, because they eventually sent my case to NBC to schedule an interview which delayed my case for almost 2 years (I filed in Sep 2019, switched to waiver in August 2020, still waiting for the interview). In the letter I included our full names, my case number, alien number, address and phone number!

wow, that is a really long time of waiting. perhaps when you changed your application to a waiver,  it gave you kind of like a new priority date. I initially filed in June of 2021, so even more waiting for myself. I guess it does not hurt to submit more evidence with my request to adjust my application. I believe David (the person I had originally messaged) did not have to do an interview.

Thank you for your help.

hi folks, i think my i751 waiver is delaying my n400.

my n400 is pending for 14months(tampa) and i'm waiting for interview.

i don't know why and i'm depressed.

my i751 didn't get transferred. (june 2020 filler). last update was fingerprints taken.

any idea what is happening and what should i do or expect?

any similar experiences?

if you intend to file n400 at some point, then yes, I would recommend filing as soon as you are eligible even if your roc is still pending. it helped in my case. but then again, with this process ymmv.

Thanks. I did sent my N400 and received my interview date the same month.

I have another question. If you happen to know.

I came with my minor son with a K1 and K2 visa. Always I have gone with him to the interviews, etc. What happens if I get my citizenship? Does he gets it automatically or do I have to file another form?

I filed ROC jointly 6/16/2020 Potomac center, just got an email “new card is being produced” today.  No RFE, no waiver,  didn’t apply for N400.  Good luck to everyone else who’s still waiting.  The end is near.  Cheers

Congrats! Is it Potomac or Vermont?
