DNC can fix it, like they did last time.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Just curious, Iowa, New Hampshire and other Democrat primaries are not winner take all relative to delegates.  Doesn’t this still leave the uncommitted (previously “super”) delegates with a lot of power in the end?

Not really. The reforms that have been made mean they can't even vote unless it's a contested convention. Sanders people were very much involved with the reforms. I think it's a dumb system but better reformed if they won't give it up.

Yes, but one other big reform is that committed delegates for each state get split between all candidates getting at least 15% of a primary or caucus vote.  Hence if the Iowa results hold up, Mayor Pete gets almost 27% of the delegate, and Bernie, Elizabeth Warren and Old Joe split the rest.  If this splitting continues with different mixes of candidates for the rest of the 49 states, and PR/DC, this could increase the likelihood of a contested convention requiring a second vote and therefore bringing the uncommitted “super” delegates into play.  I can see why Bernie supporters would be pissed about Iowa, apparently he had the largest vote tally at the end of the first split.

Only 50% of the results to be released by 5pm EST.

Is this the same system to be used to tabulate the 2020 presidential vote?

That would be interesting and entertaining.

This one does not matter so much and they all have plenty of money to see this through.

I could only find this which is only 71%.  I had heard Sleepy Joe fell below the 15% threshold, but this still shows him hanging on to a few delegates.

IOWA—In an unexpected twist for the Democratic primaries, surprise candidate Hiltasha Clintonov, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Russia, has been declared the winner of the Iowa caucuses.

"In Iowa primary, Clintonov defeats you!" she declared in her triumphant victory speech through her thick Russian accent. "This result show that American people are ready for, how you say, diversity in White House."

She was then informed that you say it just as it is spelled, "diversity."

Putin has endorsed the candidate, saying he respects her ability to rig elections and also fears for his life. "Hiltasha Clintonov is best for America," he said, sweating bullets, as an anvil dangled conspicuously above his head. "We in Russia say, 'Yes!' to Clintonov. Please do not hurt us."

In an unrelated development, all the other candidates have turned up dead.

Russians don't like Hillary. If the Russian government was going to endorse a single presidential candidate, we already know who that candidate is.

Liz?

Saw some coverage of her getting off her private jet.

they're gonna push buttigieg now. He will get zero votes among African Americans. I was reading into the things he has done in south bend and he is not a good person at all. Its really sad. Like I've said, I am not trump's biggest fan at all but the GOP is not wrong when they say that the dems want the government to run everything but cannot even handle the caucus of iowa. I wish that was not the case and the US could benefit from some socialized benefits like healthcare, pension, maternity leave that are successful in other first world countries. But I'm starting to think it will just not work here with these dems in charge and the republicans are right. Needs an entire overhaul of the democratic party imo

I don't think the Russians care who occupies the WH, they just want political chaos.  I am sure they had plans for both Trump and Hillary depending on who won in 2016.
