Closest ever was a girlfriend who was 5'11".  A store clerkette observed, "My, but y'all are tall!"

All other tall ones throughout my life -- and I mean all -- invariably already had boyfriends.  Frustrating.

Have had both taller and shorter.  Not an issue for me.  Shorter plus 5" heels = taller than me.  So at the end of the day, I'm usually left holding the short end of the stick (pun intended).  Hasn't affected my life thus far.  We are who we are, and as long as we are comfortable with that, life is pretty easy.
