I received the email that our case is now heading to the consulate! That being said, I noticed the my the petitioners name has a typo! We checked all the paperwork we submitted and it’s all correct so it must have been admin error. Is it best to call NVC even if it’s headed to the consulate? Contact our consulate? Or wait until the interview.

At the interview you can repair it. It's done all the time with errors.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Let me get this right, so for this year 2020.we need to present 2028,2019 tax info right?

It's different for every embassy. Most only ask for one year others more then one but not more then three. Get your P3 letter and see what the requirements are. Don't listen to others who have no idea what they are talking about. Hearsay is dangerous at this stage. Now your straight.

There was something I read in a PDF file from the first page which list where to find your sub-forum for your region where others just like you, and experts that have completed their interview can help you. It's an amazing PDF as it's packed full of tips tricks and hacks for you to use to answer most of your questions. Just amazing.

Two people or two couples? If two couples they have to have enough to support their personal family, the first couple and now the next couple to be used as a sponsor.

@Greenbaum Thanks so much for this thread! I was wondering if you happened to have the P3 for Guyana?

Your welcome. But why do you want a P3 from Guyana when you have indicated that your embassy is France by virtue of having the French flag in your profile on the left column?

He is a French Citizen living in French Guiana. I didn’t see that Country when filling out that part. Cases in French Guiana are handled at the embassy in Guyana.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Hello everyone.

Our NOA 2 was on 9 January.

22 January NVC received our case and on 24 January we called them and they told us that they assigned BIN.

Do you think that our case will be on next shipment day to our local Consulate which is on 4 February.

Thanks

Calling in and checking in to see if you have that number available does not hurt, if that’s what you feel like doing. I am glad to know that things are moving along though.

Agreed :)

And  did your  status at USCIS web page changed to "your Case was sent to department of state"?

@Greenbaum I mean it's one couple.  Because my sister is also in process for spouse visa. So I was wondering if our parents can sponsor us both?  Maybe my mother can sponsor sponsorship her, and my father can sponsor  me?
