Also had our interview today at 10:30 and were approved on the spot! The officer was very kind. Asked how we met, how many times we saw each other before we got married, reviewed a lot of the yes/no questions from the app, and asked about my husband’s job he got with his EAD. The only documentation he took from us was the verification of employment, paystubs, and W2 from my husband’s work. He said we had already submitted substantial proof of relationship and did not look at the other proof we brought. Overall it was a great experience and went by quickly! We were just approved.   The interview was a good experience.   He went over the 485 application in detail to review all answers.  He then asked how we met and how many times we saw each other before Junior came to the US.    All of our documents were provided with the application so he didn't take any documents from us except he did keep the copies of pictures we took to the interview for support.     He asked me if my income had changed from when I submitted the Aff of support...   I said no.  He did not ask for a current tax return document which I was surprised.     

 

Interview was scheduled at 10:30 and we are back home at 12:00.    So the interview process only took about an hour and a half.   

 

The officer was funny and easy going which was a good experience.     The other officers that were coming to get others seemed to be professional and not rude. 

 

In all, a very good experience.   

 

He did say that the mailing of the Green Card is more than likely going to be delayed.  He mentioned it could take one to two months to arrive.   He said, if we haven't received in within 4 weeks, to call and ask for the tracking number.    He did say, to make sure we didn't book travel until we received the card so that there wouldn't be any issues of travel date approaching and not having the card in hand.     I asked him if there was a stamp for the passport and he said that they were not stamping the passport any longer unless the card was lost in the mail.    So don't expect that the passport will be stamped at the interview for travel.

Question for others who have received their GC already.   Our status changed to New Card is being Produced this morning.   How long is it taking currently to receive card in hand after this status is shown?

We had our interview yesterday, it went well and was very quick ! The IO was chill and professional, he asked us how we met  and reviewed the I-485 application with the yes/no questions.

He only asked to see my passport, copies of my Birth certificate and our marriage license that he gave me back at the end. He said that he got everything unless he needs something else he'll ask us for it and that I should receive my Green card in a couple of week and if I didn't in 4 weeks I should contact the USCIS.

When we got home in less than an hour , I checked our status and it said " New card is being produced " YAYYY 🥳🥳

well our interview was again scheduled in Charlotte.  The USCIS claimed that I only did the change of address for one application - I-485 and not I-130, which was a lie and that my file was still at NBC and they'd schedule my interview only in Dallas and I'm in queue there. The point of contact at the congressmans office asked me to send evidences that I submitted change of address for all applications, which I sent. I had to send an email again to the congressmans office because my interview was like coming up in a week. 

The congressmans office contacted me last week and said that she talked to Dallas Field Office and someone will contact me in the next 2 months, that they'd call me directly.

 

And someone did call me yesterday later afternoon and asked if we could come in for an interview today at 6:15 am since they're so slammed and don't have appointments opening up. I saidddd YASSSSSSSSSS. And so we had our interview this morning and were approved on the spot. Case Status even changed super fast, as soon as we got into the car.

Very happy for you!! Contacting Congressman definitely helped your case. When I started to read the message i was heartbroken to hear that CIS made a mistake 3 time!! But in the end i am so glad you had a quick interview and instant approval as well. Congratulations!!🎉🎊

I still don't have any news about my I-485 interview, I submitted application last year Feb.04, it is been over a year now.

Called USCIS one time last year Oct. someone said I have to wait no other choice. Then I use online e-tool e-inquired USCIS two times but nobody reply......

My status still the same since April.02,2020 says" Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview as of April.2,2020"

Tried to call USCIS again but always the automated robot failed to connect to a live customer representative to talk to me......getting frustrated and hopeless now

Hi...    looked over your timeline and it follows ours very closely...   with the ice storm, you will be behind 1 to two weeks or so.    I would think you would see your status change within the next two weeks.   Be calm, everything will come together soon.   You’re very close to getting your interview scheduled.     (Your bio apt was exactly 1 month after ours).

Hi everyone ! I really need help !

 

I had my marriage AOS interview on February 24, we were approved and I received my Approval notice yesterday. Today morning our case status showed " Card was picked up by the USPS " and now in the afternoon our case status says " Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It " and they are asking me to file a request online to request a copy of the notice. ( I have not changed my address at all )

What do they mean ? Do they mean the Green Card was not delivered or another notice ? What should I do ? Did anyone go through the same thing ?

Just went out to the mailbox after reading your message and ours was actually sitting there... 

 

did you click on the tracking number to see what shows up on the postal service sight?

look up your 485 case number and then look at the body of the notice where the card was delivered and you will see the tracking number...   click on that and see what it says.    Good luck!!!     They will figure this out quick.
