My lawyer is from a different state. Based on your experience im hoping interview is scheduled here in Dallas and not else where😳  But i will try to be optimistic and start putting documents together 😊 Are you able to get help from congressman or any other contact points? I hope you do 🙏🏽

Today status changed to ‘Interview Cancelled’. On next steps i see ‘we will issue our decision and mail it to you. Any action or step you may need to take will be on your decision notice’.
 

If anyone heard of this status before please share. I would like to hope interview is waived. But i do not want to keep my hopes high cos online updates aren’t entirely reliable 🙏🏽

I’ve been reading that They’ve been waiving interviews for AOS through work. AOS through marriage interviews are not being waived right now.

That would be awesome especially since Dallas is one of the slow offices to process aos. Also TX touched 1 million covid cases and we have to be extra cautious during flu season. Will keep you posted. Thank you.

even for that question on I-130 - the beneficiary will apply for adjustment of status in which state - I selected Dallas, Texas 

 

so I don’t get how this mistake could have happened. I’m like beyond disappointed because this will put me wayyyy back in the queue 

change of address is only for where they are going to send the written communication / green card. This does not provide ground to transfer a case from one office to another.

But shouldn’t there be a process to transfer aos as address change is something that is inevitable for some of us especially when wait periods can be upto 2 years or more?

I talked to a Tier 2 officer and she said that Charlotte field office won’t have jurisdiction over my case since I don’t live there anymore. But she also said that if I want I could take a chance and go there for the interview. They may cancel it after checking my ID is what she said.

 

well I definitely don’t have free money laying around to take that chance. My+husbands flight tickets only cost like $500. Not including other expenses.

 

So I asked her to open a request to transfer my file to Texas. She opened an inquiry at NBC, and they’re supposed to review and reach out to me in 15 days. 
 

I asked her if this will push my first back in the queue. She said no, but I don’t really trust that. I asked her if I could make an expedite interest based on this error, out of curiosity. She said that she has no idea and I should ask the person from NBC when they contact me.

Meanwhile I submitted my EAD renewal documents. So 🤷‍♀️. 

This is garbage: for the amount of money we spend, for the time and effort we spend, their service and everything related to this is trash.

I totally get that CIS can improve service quality given that the fees are not subsidized. I really hope they respond with positive news soon!

I received it in a week.

 

Submitted my documents for EAD/AP renewal since obviously theres no sight of an interview. Did anyone else submit their renewal documents?

I received interview notice but online status says Interview cancelled. I will anyway go to the interview and figure out on that day I guess 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hello all!! i had my interview today at 9:00 AM and status updated to Card Production just a while ago. Hope this means good news. I pray that your cases move quickly and that you hold your gc’s soon!! Just to recap my PD is Oct 2019.
