We got our interview notice in the mail today which is 7 days from when the status changed to interview scheduled.   Today is 1/23 and the interview is scheduled on 2/23...   one month out. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻...   very exciting.

Thank you ! We are very excited ! I have a question regarding the I-864, do we have to take a new one for the interview? even though nothing changed in the employment and we already submitted it with the aos package ?

We brought a new form I-864 to the interview, but they didn't ask for it. We also submitted the form with our AOS package.

Well, got a notification today again for the 3rd time that our interview has been scheduled.

 

frankly don’t have much hope. Feel like it’s going to be scheduled in a different state again. 
 

But o well go with the flow

I reached out to them. They said that they reached out to USCIS. Let’s see!

If interview was scheduled after you raised concern with congressman, it’s likely that you are scheduled in Irving this time! Lets hope for the best!! 🙏🏽

Our interview is scheduled for 2/23. Does anyone anticipate the possibility of next week’s interviews being rescheduled due to this extreme weather?

Our’s is on 2/23rd as well!   I hope they aren’t canceled...   they shouldn’t be as the weather will be fine next week.

We filed AOS 24th of January 2020 but we still have status :Case is ready to be schedule for an interview((. My travel document and working permit will expire in July. Should I send right now the package with documents to USCIS( to renew) or I have some time to wait for my interview? Thank you

I don't think they will be rescheduled as the weather will be fine, ours is on the 24

If you want to be safe you can apply for ead renewal. But based on average wait time you should have your interview anytime soon. There may be slight delays cos of cancelled interviews this week. I hope everything works out for you 🙏🏽

How early should we arrive at USCIS before the interview? The notice says you can’t enter before 15 mins prior to the interview. But I drove by today just to make sure I knew how to get there and saw a line of people waiting outside, so I’m wondering now what time we should plan to get there

When it’s your turn for security screening they ask you to return later if you go in earlier than 15 mins. I have seen that happen with a lady. Maybe stand in line 20-25 mins prior to your appointment not earlier than that. Otherwise you will have to join end of line. I joined line exactly 15 mins before interview and it took about 15  mins to go inside. There were 20 people ahead of me.

We were just approved.   The interview was a good experience.   He went over the 485 application in detail to review all answers.  He then asked how we met and how many times we saw each other before Junior came to the US.    All of our documents were provided with the application so he didn't take any documents from us except he did keep the copies of pictures we took to the interview for support.     He asked me if my income had changed from when I submitted the Aff of support...   I said no.  He did not ask for a current tax return document which I was surprised.     

 

Interview was scheduled at 10:30 and we are back home at 12:00.    So the interview process only took about an hour and a half.   

 

The officer was funny and easy going which was a good experience.     The other officers that were coming to get others seemed to be professional and not rude. 

 

In all, a very good experience.   

 

He did say that the mailing of the Green Card is more than likely going to be delayed.  He mentioned it could take one to two months to arrive.   He said, if we haven't received in within 4 weeks, to call and ask for the tracking number.    He did say, to make sure we didn't book travel until we received the card so that there wouldn't be any issues of travel date approaching and not having the card in hand.     I asked him if there was a stamp for the passport and he said that they were not stamping the passport any longer unless the card was lost in the mail.    So don't expect that the passport will be stamped at the interview for travel.
