Has anyone received proper communication from USCIS, rather than checking their case number and seeing it has been approved? I'm curious to see how long it will take to received that letter or text message...

We did! The website status changed on Thursday 12/6, our paperwork came on Monday the 9th and approval was actually dated 12/4.

We're stuck at administrative processing for almost 2 weeks now. any advice guys? or is it pretty much a waiting game still?

:time: Everything about this process is a waiting game. No one can tell you how long something will take with any certainty. Since you have no timeline I really don't know where you are in the process so my help will be zilch till such time as you create a timeline.

Hi all.  I just received my I-797 Notice of Action.  It's valid from 12/6/19 to 04/5/20.  Does that mean she has to have the US Embassy interview before 4/5/20?  We were hoping to have more time to prepare and work around her work schedule for a variety of reasons.  My fiancee was planning on entering the US around August/September time-frame.  Just want to understand the meaning of the validity period on this document.

Thanks in advance!!

Yes and no on the extension of the validity of the NOA2. The embassy is the one that will extend it but it only does so with a valid reason. I don't believe they would consider work a valid reason. It's kinda like thinking what is more imporatant a job you will never return to or a future husband that you both have jumped through hoops to get a visa so that you can marry. Just expressing an opinion.

Ok, I will let her know that she needs to make sure to schedule the interview by the end of March 2020.  Thanks!
