My grandmother is a US citizen and she filed petition for her 3 married children. The petition has been filed since 2006 and we have been waiting for it for 13 years. My grandmother has a cancer and her wish is to have her children here before anything happens to her. My question is, does she need a lawyer to follow up the petition? Or do we have to wait from the immigration about this? I hope someone can help us about this case.

Nothing a Lawyer can do.

They have to wait for their Priority Date to become current.

Unfortunately, for that category, absolutely nothing can be done to speed it up. They have to wait.

Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything a lawyer can do, it’s a case of having to wait for their PD to become current...

perhaps have her children try the B2 route and make a short visit...? It’s not uncommon for people to do this, without having to immigrate... I’ve personally done it

F3 is already current to Sept 2007. If this petition was filed in 2006, they would have been eligible for visas months ago already if not longer. Suggest you contact NVC to find out why you have not been instructed to proceed further.

Also I believe if the petitioner dies prior to the I-130 being approved, the petition is automatically revoked.

since i am in the US, if the petition is revoked, would i be able to file a petition for my parents (my parents by the way is the married son of my grandma that she filed a petition for)?

Are you a citizen? It would certainly be much faster.
